Finally got the last of my backordered items from the sale last month. They shipped Friday and arrived Monday morning. No duplicates this time around.

I got them today. I was prepared for the worst and one of the boxes was mangled, but they all survived unscathed. The packaging is the same they use for the standard collectors edition/rolled poster orders.

I received my 3 back ordered titles last week and it included Bad Dreams/Visiting Hours.

Received all three of mine today. Never received a shipping email, so I didn't know what they were until I saw the film names on side stickers. Each long box came with a rolled poster tube and the steelbook inside with brown paper wrap. Thankfully everything showed up in minty condition, but if SF is going to get into the steelbook business they might want to bubble wrap those bad boys prior to shipment.

It's a small price to pay for solid deals on these titles. I had to wait 5-6 weeks during one of the Full Moon Sales earlier this year and right now I'm on week 5 for my Shout Factory order. As long as everything arrives safely in the next 7 days I won't have any complaints. If however my titles don't arrive until August I'll likely be a bit less willing to order directly in the future.

It shouldn't bother anyone, especially since most people still waiting on them are the items that were backordered, which the website specifically told you before you placed your order. On top of that most people picking up stuff from this sale were picking up stuff that they were putting off waiting for a good price, so who cares if it takes an extra week or two more than projected. They weren't buying it at a higher price to begin with.

The other thing to keep in mind is the issues with the people who received duplicate orders. This obviously wasn't done on purpose, but it seemed to be just the back-ordered items. Their inventory may have been depleted significantly from the error and as such several people may still actually be waiting on shipments. I'd like to think of this as more of a one-off scenario than something that is going to be systemically wrong with Scream Factory shipments in the future. So maybe if you're still waiting, try and give them a little bit of a pass as they've probably lost thousands of dollars in duplicate sent orders due to a computer malfunction (without even mentioning the fact that all of the blu-rays were ALREADY 50% off!).

The website specifically stated that all back ordered titles would be in stock by July 7th. If today were July 8th and I was complaining you'd have a legitimate point but since today is the 17th and multiple people have already received many of the exact titles I'm waiting on it's starting to get just a bit tiresome waiting for any kind of correspondence from them. Hell even a "we're working on your order, sorry for the delay" e-mail would go a long way as it would alleviate the worry that my order was somehow lost. On top of that, I paid by paypal meaning I paid for these items in June where as plenty of other folks are still waiting to be charged.

I'm not worried or really all that annoyed just yet, but it's not unreasonable to expect timely delivery on an order when as of right now the earliest it can arrive to my home is 2 weeks after the promised replenishment date. This isn't Bill from Code Red or Don May Jr over at Synapse packaging these and sending them out. Shout Factory is a well established brand with a team of folks working behind the scenes and so it's unusual for them to be so quiet in regards to so many orders and for things to take as long as they have to ship, let alone arrive. Heck folks are reporting that their steelbooks are just starting to show up as well without any notice, and that's unlike Shout Factory. The problems regarding the shipping of orders could still be an ongoing issue if the silence is to be believed.
