I will say though, The Strangers original Blu was strangely barebones.

Silent Night, Deadly Night and Misery sound neat!

I'm 100% sure SNDN will be a new scan featuring the both cuts (as I cannot see them just regurgitating the old SD master like Anchor Bay did).

I'm also sure that Misery will be getting a new 2/4k scan as well, and sounds like it will be another worthy upgrade like the Poltergeist sequels!

Stay Tuned is now controlled by Morgan Creek (who recently gained all distribution rights to their productions from Warner, explaining SF putting out Nightbreed, Bad Moon, and Exorcist III).

I already have Misery, Cyborg, and Drag Me to Hell on Blu-ray (the last two I've recently bought and haven't even viewed yet). Darkman sequels and Silent Night would be upgrades from DVD for me.

So I suppose Matinee would be the title I'm most excited for since I don't own it in any format.

I was hoping most for Child's Play sequels and Cronenberg's The Fly and its sequel. Maybe some other time.

New as in re-releases?

Matinee makes it all good, it's really the only guaranteed title on my list.

Will probably get Silent Night, Deadly Night though, maybe Misery as well since I never did get around to buying it and it's been years since I last saw it.

Attack of the Puppet People title sounds fun and I do enjoy some 50's schlock.

Might go for the 2nd Howard Lovecraft film if I ever get around to buying the 1st one, animation looks pretty crude though but I'm a sucker for anything Lovecraft themed.

Never heard of The Plague Dogs so I looked up some clips and holy smokes is that one depressing looking animated film, I'm both intrigued and disgusted at how those animated dogs were treated, might need to get it just to watch the entire film. I'm sure I'll have to spoil my dogs with treats while I watch it to feel better about the human race.

Normally I'd go for Cyborg but I literally just bought the 3 film set with Cyborg part of it, I'm sure that will suffice next to the other JCVD film collections I have.

It screams double feature. A standalone SNDN2 for 29.99 is an actual joke.

Wouldn't make sense to announce at Comic-Con since they already kinda, sorta did earlier this week.

They can announce 4k editions and steelbook editions of already released titles next year.

I don't know why Shout hasn't released Suburbia (1983) on Blu. Especially since they've already done the Decline of Western Civilization Blu set and Suburbia on DVD

They could have at least acknowledged it and confirmed it was coming.

In for Drag Me To Hell, Cyborg, and Silent Night, Deadly Night(I wish 2 gets a release, or just the 15 minutes of new stuff as a bonus feature)!

Possibly not all of them. Shout has already released Nightbreed, Exorcist III, Bad Moon, and The Crush, while Sony has DVD and streaming rights to titles like Ace Ventura and True Romance. Who knows whats with the rest.

THE PLAGUE DOGS was based on a novel by Richard Adams, who also wrote the novel WATERSHIP DOWN. Animated film adaptations of both novels were directed by Martin Rosen - the film version of WD came out in 1978, and TPD in 1982. Criterion released WD on Blu-Ray a little while back.

THE PLAGUE DOGS is pretty bleak (as is Watership Down which had some rabbit abuse), and the US release of TPD has always been edited and is missing the even bleaker ending than what the US version has. Hopefully, SF acquires the uncut UK version with the full ending intact to make viewers feel even worse.

"***BIG ANNOUNCEMENT OF UPCOMING TITLES!***

We just revealed the following upcoming Scream Factory Blu-ray releases at our Comic Con panel this evening. Here's the line-up that will be coming soon to you in Nov and early 2018:

SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT (1984) – Ho Ho Horror! The anti-holiday slasher cult classic favorite is being prepped for release before Christmas.

MISERY (Collector’s Edition) (1990) – Hide the sledgehammers! Stephen King and Rob Reiner’s iconic classic receives the deluxe treatment it rightfully deserves.

DRAG ME TO HELL (Collector’s Edition) (2009) – We go more in-depth into Sam Raimi’s wildly-entertaining and wicked soul-cursing hit film.

THE STRANGERS (Collector’s Edition) (2008) – One of the scariest film ever in the “home invasion” subgenre gets an upgrade ahead of its planned 2018 sequel.

CYBORG (Collector’s Edition) (1989) Martial arts legend Jean-Claude Van Damme battles evil in this late 80s post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller.

AMERICAN GOTHIC (1988) – Often-requested quasi slasher film starring Rod Steiger and Yvonne DeCarlo. From the Director of The Legend of Hell House.

DARKMAN II (1995) & DARMAN III (1996) – First time on Blu-ray! Both star Arnold Vosloo. Jeff Fahey appears in III. Official street dates for both are 11/7/17. Extras are in progress and will be announced at a later date. If you pre-order now directly from our website you’ll get it two weeks earlier! Darkman II: https://www.shoutfactory.com/…/darkm...return-of-dur… & Darkman III: https://www.shoutfactory.com/pr…/dar...ie-darkman-die

EYE OF THE CAT (1969) – From the Screenwriter of Psycho and stars Eleanor Parker. First time on a home entertainment format!

ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE (1958) – From Bert I. Gordon. First time on Blu-ray! Official street date is 11/14/17. If you pre-order now directly from our website @ https://www.shoutfactory.com/pr…/att...-puppet-people you’ll get it two weeks earlier!

We have no other details to report on this time.

Which ones are you looking forward to this most?? And, BTW, we have even MORE good stuff planned for end of the year and into 2018, we just can’t announce everything all at once smile emoticon"

Shout Select announcements were more interesting. I was hoping for some surprises (e.g. Martin).
