Scream Factory poster editions typically go quickly. Or at least they used to. With Hell Night being a kind of holy grail I thought it would be sold out by now.

YES!!!!! Carrie and Return of the living dead have great transfers. Not to mention Return of in my top 5 horror movies. It's a perfect movie.

Yeah I know. I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask though, maybe somebody just ordered from there and got the slip.

Either way I went ahead purchased them. Except for Raising Cain. I'll pick that one up next time.

I hope you get them but the slipcover question has always driven me a little bonkers... even if someone got a slip on a recent order, it still doesn't mean that you'll get one.... it's a total gamble always unless you order in the first 90 days of release (and even then.....)

Shout Factory themselves guarantee Slipcovers for the first 3 months of their release, after that, it's anyone's guess!

I find that my expectations of specific films in general tend to cloud my evaluations of technical Blu-ray presentations, because I form a subjective bias based a film's era of release and such.

For instance, when I sat down to watch my Code Red Blu-ray of Cut-Throats Nine, I was expecting to see the cinematic equivalent of an old weatherbeaten baseball glove that comfortably fits in an effortless way. It's the same way with the Scream Factory release of The Final Terror, because I'm judging that film on the effort that Scream Factory put into assembling the surviving material into a remotely presentable end result.

When I sit down to watch my Blu-ray of the new 2017 version of The Mummy, however, I'll likely be evaluating the picture with a much greater degree of scrutiny.

I tend to dock points from my evaluation of a Blu-ray technical presentation when the end result does not "match" my expectations. I was heartbroken when the French Pathe Blu-ray of Le Samouraï turned out to be a watercolory noise reduction mess, because I knew from my Criterion DVD that the film could look better. I was also disappointed that Tommy Boy looked like a DVD transfer, whereas Black Sheep looked amazingly crystal clear with beautiful detail.

Right, I wish I could just watch a movie now without focusing on the PQ and AQ but I can't. If the PQ and AQ are exceptional my tolerance for the material is much greater, if it's a bad movie with a bad transfer I'm out.

Carrie '76 is a decent movie, in a way. It's dated to hell, nowadays, but works in a way. Not as good for me as Halloween '78 or Black Christmas '74, but it works.

Black Christmas and Halloween - owned both!

Here are the Scream Factory titles I have owned.

Halloween 1-10: Ultimate 15 disc Limited Edition set
Black Christmas '74
The Fog '80
Sleepaway Camp 1-2

Various other titles too all over the place. Most I don't have anymore, but I used to.
