Even though the series is no longer with Chiller, I hope that Scream Factory is able to release Slasher: Guilty Party (season two) on blu-ray. I started the new season on NetFlix last night and I'm really enjoying it so far. Big improvement over season one.

Technically their price match policy requires them to price match their own website. They basically have to. Or at least that's how my local store's manager explained it to me a few days ago when I went to buy RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD in-store.

Unless the website says "Online Only" they will always price match. That is their policy, it always has been.

How is better? Really hated season one and that lead actress was just plain obnoxious.

Good to know, I might give it a try then. I couldn't go past the first episode on S1, the acting was terrible.

Yeah, I tried to watch S1 again last week and couldn't get past the first episode. I'll check out S2 though.

If it's like the Bill & Ted Double feature than this edition will be Movie only with no special features.

*Regarding the Extended Version: For our new transfer, Sony Studios scanned the original camera negative at Technicolor in 4K. Unfortunately though we learned during our process that this original element was cut and did not contain the unrated footage we were hoping to find. Sony searched their vault for the footage (and we also looked aggressively into other alternatives to find it) but sadly it was not saved and remains missing.

The only solution for presenting the extended cut of the film was to incorporate the same unrated video footage that has been present on prior home entertainment DVD and Blu-ray releases. The transition of scenes between the theatrical and unrated versions will still be noticeable but we have tried to minimize the shifts in picture quality by restoring the unrated footage to try to match the color and clarity to our new transfer as best we could.

Just realized they included Charles E. Sellier, Jr.'s interview with Deadpit Radio.

I guess they buried the hatchet to allow such an important feature on the release.

The Arrow comes out in December, you might want to wait and see how it compares to the SF.

I think the difference is several minutes or so. No story, I believe, just lots of gore/violence is missing. Watching the Anchor Bay DVD and being able to tell from the quality changes what would be missing from the theatrical cut, I can't imagine watching that version. Seems like it would be really choppy.

Absolutely! It's a stunningly gorgeous transfer and loaded with great extras.
