Gate 2 definitely and Behind the Mask is a surprise, I'm all in for a great CE loaded with special features. It's been a while since I've watched that one and March will be a great time to revisit.

I love BTM and Leslie Vernon. I just wish they had a SNDN type figure deal with NECA for it.

Curious. Every one that I talk to about it and most of the horror podcasts I listen to all love the film. I personally enjoyed it on release, revisited it a few years ago and still enjoyed it but I never thought it was the amazing piece of work that others seem to think it is. I get it, all the slasher tropes and call outs are very clever but something doesn't quite work for me, I can't put my finger on it and that's why I really want to revisit it. And why I want a lot of special features for it too. Why are you not a fan?

It also always bothered me that the DVD and poster for the film had that shitty 00's generic horror movie look. Hopefully SF can break from their style and actually come up with something fitting for the film.

There's an official 10th Anniversary poster (I believe) that's pretty neat. I'd be satisfied if they used that one:

I really love how it features a redux of The Mutilator's tagline.

The reverse will probably be this well-known DVD art:

I wish Scream or even Shout, possibly Shout Select, would release Judgment Night (93) or Surviving the Game (94). With them releasing Trespass, I have some hope...but I'm not sure who has the rights to these other films.

Judgment Night is with Warner now. Surviving the Game should be with New Line, so Warner also. I have the German Blu of Judgment Night (but would appreciate a remaster); Game is a major want of mine, though I can't see Warner releasing it anytime soon.

I have that poster framed on my wall. Unfortunately it's one of Osbourne's stolen art pieces so they might not use it. I just hope it's not Milliner.

Yeah Judgment Night is one of my favorite films. Really sucks it's with Warner along with another favorite of mine that I want which is Unlawful Entry. As was already mentioned, Judgment Night has a region free German release that could definitely use a remastering but will also do in the meantime. Surving the Game is a good flick too.

Nah, they'll use that crappy DVD art with the fancy font everybody else uses. Fancy fonts better suited to Network dramas or daytime soaps for a slasher movie doesn't really inspire one to blind buy. BTW, who is Leslie Vernon?

Maybe a Warner Archive release...I'd buy them in a heartbeat! Is New Line still a part of Warner? Have there been any New Line Warner Archive releases? Is that even a thing? lol

Yes, New Line is with Warner. New Line's Hidden was recently released by WAC.

My great wish is that Scream Factory could get access to the Paramount library: The Dead Zone, Pet Sematary, Fire in the Sky, King Kong '76, The Keep, Prophecy...

Shout was recently able to license a few titles from Paramount for inclusion in the final MST3k DVD collection, so it's not an entirely unreasonable hope.

Certainly agree on this one (though my decent Japanese import of Kong '76 will hold me until a domestic release and I'm afraid Michael Mann himself will keep The Keep buried) and that would include such Paramount offerings as The Elephant Man, The Bad News Bears, Gallipoli, Dragonslayer and numerous others.

I have a legit question: as Paramount seems unwilling to offer their extensive catalog on Blu, why on earth don't they license them out? There's money to be made in such a decision and God knows there'd be interest in these titles. It's starting to feel like some sort of crazy spite...is there some sort of actual reason why they don't do it? I can't believe it's about some astronomical amount of money being asked for; every major studio has worked out licensing to boutique labels for certain titles or released such titles themselves.

Does Paramount have an aversion to money or is there something else entirely at work here? This is like the riddle of The Sphinx at this point...

It's mind boggling beyond comprehension especially after they put out some fantastic catalog releases this year. Their release for Juice is one of the most stunning 4K blu ray transfers I've ever seen.
