I don't care about any of those and so none of these are a big deal to me. Thanks for the list though.

Wha? Ravenous is amazing, Tales from the Crypt / Vault of Horror is one of my most watched SF releases and personally I really enjoy Bad Dreams / Visiting Hours.

I saw it on VHS a year or so ago and I enjoyed it. It's no masterpiece but I thought it was well made, the lead girl was likable and Englund was a lot of fun in a dual role. I put my pre-order in already. I would say that loving Englund is probably a pre-requisite though.

I mainly care about stuff like Carrie. The Thing, Black Christmas and the 2nd tier stuff like Terror Train, The Howling, People Under the Stairs. With some exceptions of course.

I still think Ravenous should be on that list. It doesn't get enough praise and is perfect for the winter time.

Also, "Doctor and the Devils" is my fave of the "Burke and Hare" themed thrillers.
A very good film based on the Dylan Thomas story ( which I also own).
Recommended!

I heard that Shout was losing the rights to the Bruce Lee films they had. Does anyone know when? I'd like to grab the Shout Select editions before they go OOP.

I just recieved 9 out of the 12 Blu Rays I ordered from the sale. Has anyone's orders been separated due to possible backorder? I am still awaiting the email for shipment for Without Warning, The Brain That Wouldn't Die and Animal.

Not sure if anyone has asked about this one…

Watched this over the weekend on an old VHS to DVD transfer.

Any chance of anyone releasing The House By the Lake starring Brenda Vaccaro and Don Stroud, from American International 1976-1977.

An effective early effort by producer Ivan Reitman. I remember seeing it on HBO in the 70s and was surprised how well it holds up today. Pretty damn good thriller.

Anyone know who has the rights and who may release this.

I assumed it would be a sure bet for Scream Factory if MGM holds the rights.

Race with the Devil already has a pretty good Shout Factory release, by way of a double feature with Dirty Mary Crazy Larry.

Severin is rumored to be releasing The Changeling.
Mondo Macabro is rumored to be releasing Who Can Kill a Child?

I'm right there with you on Something Wicked This Way Comes, The Stepford Wives, The Dead Zone, The Stand, Surviving the Game, The Beastmaster, Martin, [REC], Candyman, and a few others. Those are all tied up somewhere in movie rights land.

I read Jack Ketchum's novel, The Girl Next Door, several years ago, but I still haven't had the guts to check out the movie adaptation. I'm pretty astounded that a movie adaptation was made from that book in the first place.

Yeah, I'm not interested in a double feature (I have no interest in the other movie) and without any features. I have the DVD with a featurette on it, so I'm good with that until a proper Blu-ray is released, if ever.

I want all of those! I hope that Who Can Kill A Child and The Changeling are indeed coming!

There is a film-only blu-ray release of The Girl Next Door, but I own the DVD because it has numerous features on it.

Who Can Kill A Child is not a rumor - it's coming next year from Mondo Macabro. The Changeling, on the other hand, is definitely still just a rumor.

Many of the titles on your wishlist are not possible unless Shout Factory makes a deal with Paramount (which seems unlikely).

The Haunted (1991) was released on Blu-ray in Italy as 'Fantasmi'. I have it but don't actually remember if it's region-free or not.

That would be "Haunted" (1995), different movie.

That book was incredible and gut wrenching...messed up my mind to this day and semi-based on true events. Both films based on the book failed to deliver the intensity of the actual book but Ketchum's Girl Next Door was the better of the two.
