Can't believe I forgot the Halloween set on my collectors edition list! Definitely one of SF's best releases but looking at individual releases, my list stands. For those who haven't seen it, I'd highly recommend Ginger Snaps. Not your average werewolf movie. Probably one of my favorites of that genre though!

In other words, Disney does not sublicense?

Not as far as I'm aware, though I imagine there is a distinct lack of horror for Disney to license out right now so I have no idea what their policy would be if they had more horror titles and people approaching them.

"The Vagrant" is classic, easily one of my favorite SF titles. I love "The Dark Half" as well. Another film I really enjoy that rarely gets mentioned is "Jack's Back". Very well-done film with a great performance by Spader.

I love Jack's Back

Another one I forgot about was Dead of Winter, that's another great non CE release.

I haven't seen a lot of love for Squirm during this discussion of favorite Collector's Editions.

...but it is a lovely, lovely film in all regards, and Scream Factory has given it a wonderful presentation.

Disney has sublicensed titles to Kino and Mill Creek, but I think those deals, thus far, were limited only to titles that had not been released on DVD or that had only been released on DVD by other 3rd party licensees such as MGM, Anchor Bay, or Dark Sky / MPI.

I LOVE everything about Squirm. The Southern setting, the eerie vibe, the actors (all wonderful), the music, the special effects, that climax. There's literally nothing about this film NOT to like. Loved it as a kid and still love it

Touchstone released My Boyfriend’s Back on DVD back in the day, and Mill Creek did that.

The DID sublicense some things on DVD at least. Anchor Bay released a few Disney live-action titles, like The Black Hole (which I would love to see a HD upgrade of).

Squirm is a total POS, one of the worst blind buys of the past 5 years.

Then maybe I can remain hopeful. The two movies I'm craving for, one was never released on DVD and the other was released thru MGM.

Most of the films they licensed to Mill Creek had already been released on DVD by Disney themselves.

This reminds me of that early 2000's slasher starring A.J. Cook about Jack the Ripper. I think it may have been called Ripper? Wonder if that would ever get a Scream release.

Also from that era: Cut, The Hole, and Urban Legends 2.

Yeah, that's the name. I had a friend who used to love that film. I remember him praising the film and saying I had to see it. I looked for it at the videostore but thought the cover looked lame so I didn't rent it. Haven't seen it to this day.

On the other hand I loved The Hole. I remember going in thinking I was gonna see another masked killer slasher and seeing something entirely different. It was a very nice surprise at the time.

So many recommendations and not a single one for Phantom of the Opera. This was a film I had never viewed until purchasing the Scream Factory release a few years back, but it's easily one of my favorite films/releases they've done.

That be awesome, maybe this year they will do Tremors CE and hopefully CHild's Play 2 and 3, just think of the money they can make with CEs.
