I'd second this recommendation. It's fairly inexpensive, and the PQ is a bit better than either Twilight Time release. Sony did release this in Germany, but theirs was a barebones release with lossy audio.

I see you've already covered the differences in extras before.

This would be my first time importing a bluray - sounds stupid but their age ratings have always bothered me. I guess I shouldn't really care because I'm more of the care about the movie more than the packaging type of person.

The Eureka release of Fright Night pile drives the TT version (just like Hard Times but that's a separate story.)

Ratings logos should be immaterial when it comes to a superior release. Get it.

It's worth every penny. The ratings suck but they are secondary to the film itself.

It's a little more expensive than when I bought it but for Fright Night $17 shipped is still a good price.

I just want to echo what a fantastic release Eureka's Fright Night is. I owned both Twilight Time releases and Eureka's blows them both out of the water. It's a stunningly gorgeous presentation of the 4K transfer. Initially I was upset that I had to triple dip due to the annoying macroblocking issue on TT's 30th anniversary blu ray but now I'm thrilled that I picked up Eureka's region free release for not only correcting that but also being an overall improvement in every area and it's at a great cheap price to boot.

I like my encore edition from Twilight Time, but this particular movie merits the best possible presentation, especially for the low price.

Does Vista own the rights to Dead Presidents as well? Regardless, this would be a pretty cool one for Shout to release. Someone needs to release it on blu.

This is one of my most wanted titles. Unfortunately I believe Hollywood pictures owns this in association with Disney so who knows when this will ever get released. I really wish Criterion still had the rights as they did with the laserdisc.

Ha, I'd forgotten about that. I still have to import the Eureka release. Haven't really felt like triple dipping.

I see my Cyborg collectors Edition is pushed back yet again. Originally it was due out on January 23 or 30, then it was pushed back to end of February. Now I see it’s pushed back to April 18. At least according to Amazon.

Yes, Shout Factory recently announced pushing the date out again. They said something like they’re having issues with the release that they’ve never encountered before on any other release. Which could mean anything. It was pretty vague.

I saw someone post on Instagram that Misery and Silent Night Deadly Night were at their Best Buy (don't know where they live), with slips, on sale for $14.99. That is a steal! Tempted to go look at mine for Misery...

That was last week. They’re regular price now.

Ooh a few stores must be slow changing the sale, because they had it on one of those "live" stories. Thanks for the heads up though, I won't bother trekking to my local store.

Disney should really consider others releasing films like this that they're sitting on. I can understand not wanting to push it out under the Disney name and it's definitely not a priority for them so I don't see why they'd be opposed to it.

Never underestimate personal grudges and incompetence in that business.

Yeah Disney is one of the most frustrating studios for releasing blu rays

I would LOVE to see Scream Factory release some classic Gialli. I am surprised they haven't gone into that market yet.

What titles are you thinking of specifically? They've released some crummy Italian movies of the same vintage.
