I thought I read that at some point! Thanks for the reminder, can't wait to see them released. But, I wouldn't put it past Paramount to hold them off until October. As long as there still coming leaves me a happy camper

That's so disappointing, because I'd kill for a good Silver Bullet Blu-ray. Also Young Sherlock Holmes from someone.

They also got almost all the Price films too, and a lot of that era MGM horror.
Like "Theater of Blood" and "From a Whisper to a Scream".

Cliff did say in an interview with 40oz of Horror that he did get "a couple" Vincent Price flicks, so that good. Its just a question of which one(s).
Ugh. If these companies don't intend on giving us quality releases (They may, I don't know), then I wish they wouldn't get movies like these.

Why? the existing US Blu-ray is pretty good.

I'd like the Death Wish series (Uncut of course) as a box set. A nice embossed Slipcover, with sort of a Dredd 3D style poster of Bronson standing there with his gun.

People will buy it because it says "PROM NIGHT" in the title, and the ones that didn't buy it for that reason will buy it because they liked it.

Go back to mgm and get this Cliff! Lol! I'm serious!

As much as it pains me, I have to agree, and I'm probably one of the few that pre-ordered the DVD.

The only time I have ever seen it for sale in a store is at Big Lots for $3, so I think that speaks for itself

Nothing can bring me down knowing that Night of the Comet is coming soon-ish though! Please do a slip cover!!!!!

And a lot of people like it too.
It was never intended to be a sequel to "Prom Night". It was originally a paroday that made fun of "Carrie", "The Exorcist", and "A Nightmare on Elm Street", among other movies. But they changed the title and "scary-ed it up" before they wrapped production. That's why it has a weird vibe that no other movie has.

Its a gem and I hope Cliff reconsiders. Even if its just a "blu-only" so they don't have to waste money on manufacturing the dvd part alike with "The Incredible Melting Man" and "The Vampire Lovers".

Cliff could you possibly key us in on when we'll start seeing some announcements of new titles? Before March? Before summer?

Really stumped as to what these box sets will be, given what Cliff has ruled out to date and considering what's potentially available. I wonder if the four films under the 'Curse' banner might be possible?

I'm not too devastated that Shout isn't doing Prom Night II - Fox put out a pretty decent-looking DVD. If it had never gotten a release at all I could understand people wanting to have it in the best format available today but I can live with the version we have now. Besides, it's not coming out on Blu now but you never know down the road.

Michael Winner, director of the first 3 Death Wish films, passed away recently. Like with Bronson, it's a shame no one thought to sit the guy down for a commentary or interview for any of the DW films. If there's ONE chat track I would've loved to listen to it would be one with Winner and Bronson discussing at least the first film. Sadly, they're both now gone. MGM did a fine job with the 3 sequels they released on Blu last year.

Also, you're on youtube? What's your channel/handle?

Going back to your comment on the Blood Beach poster, I could not agree more. When I was a kid I would run into the local video store and head straight for that box. At the same time, it scared/fascinated the s**t out of me.

Cliff said somewhere that he didnt think Without Warning wouldnt sell well.
What do my fellow genre movie lovers think about that ? How do you think it would do, would you get that one if it came out ?
Personally I think it would do pretty well , and maybe better than titles like the Vargrant, Godsend, Schizoid, Xray - id call it a middle of the pack good seller.
Im so pleased with what SF has done for all of us, and yet there is still so many titles out there we arent getting or that need to be unearthed out of those vaults.

In an ideal world Without Warning would get a standalone Blu release but I'll take it in a 4-Pack if that's the only way we'll get a legitimate Region 1 release. I definitely think it would sell fairly well, maybe not by itself, but certainly grouped in with other similar films (it would probably be the main attraction). There's a sci-fi 4-pack coming out soon, isn't there?

Yes, I wish it was part of that I know it has a cult following and ebay used to have sellers with VHS tape copies and Cinema de Bizarre has a DVDf of it that probably sold pretty well...and there is a German release but the transfer is bad....
