Michael Felsher from Red Shirt Pictures held a live chat last night, and I asked him if he could give any hints about potential Warner acquisitions for Scream Factory. He replied saying he'd get in trouble if he gave any hints, but he said there would be a ton of cool titles released this year, and that he was very busy--not just with future SF releases, but also other labels he does work for (Vestron)--and that all the big labels will be releasing some great titles this year. No clues, I know. But still good to hear.

It's OK - no clues needed. Just knowing that a ton of cool titles are coming is enough

Memoirs of an Invisible Man is one of my most wanted titles... Correct me if I’m wrong but I think it’s the only Carpenter feature film without a Blu-ray release and that bugs me.

The Midnight Man (2017) and Devil's Gate (Both IFC releases) are also coming in June from Scream Factory as announced/confirmed today. I can't say I've heard of Devil's Gate, but The Midnight Man looked fun based on the trailers/commercials so it's an easy purchase for me.

It really deserves to be more widely known. I would definitely buy a blu-ray release.

It’s not that great. I saw it with high hopes after seeing Eating Raoul and Death Race 2000.

I wouldn't mind releases of Village of the Damned and Children of the Damned if Warners would let them.

Private Parts is way >>> than Eating Raoul. I find ER highly over-rated and forced, and simply not funny in the least, although I love Mary Woronov. I do love DR 2000, though, but it's more of the usual Corman flick, over-the-top satire, and silly action scenes. PP, on the other hand, is a quirky and very weird underground movie, low-key enough to be somewhat disturbing, but slightly humorous at the same time. Way ahead of its time.

I consider Private Parts Paul Bartel's best film by far.

That video only hints at how amazing that sequence is. It's like ten minutes of escalating hilarity. By the time the helicopter showed up I was dying.

I find Private Parts not weird enough to stand out, not funny enough to make me smile, and not interesting enough to recall much more than what the poster provides.

Eating Raoul, I remember beat for beat. It makes me laugh consistently and I feel that it deserves its reputation.

So is Ninja III a comedy/spoof? Or is the humor unintentional?

I don't think it was necessarily intended as a spoof. It's just very typical of Cannon films of that time. Many of them were very over-the-top - this one perhaps more so than many though. I'd kind of compare it to what Troll 2 is to horror.

Oh, so it's just a typical cheesy over-the-top type thing? Fair enough. I don't enjoy mocking movies for kicks since I respect filmmakers' work too much but I can see how someone who didn't grow up with these movies would make fun.

Yes, just very typical of the era and particularly Golan-Globus productions. I grew up on those films, so I tend to love them. But they are admittedly very cheesy. In a way they are almost the Troma of action films. Not usually quite at the same level of absurdity though.

Sorry to quote you a second time but this post has my mind racing A Scream Factory/Warner collaboration is very exciting and brimming with great possibilities but the other part about other labels also doing great releases has me wondering if we may possibly see a similar collaboration with Paramount. I mean, Warner finally agreeing to license their films means Hell has frozen over, so why stop there? Tell ya one thing, if Paramount ever decides to open the floodgates and we see titles like April Fool's Day or Let's Scare Jessica To Death on BD I'm going to have to find myself another hobby. My collection will be near complete
