Didn't know that one. Thanks for telling us. But still that's only two out of a ton of horror TV not on Blu-ray.

Hemlock Grove is a Netflix show, and Slasher was done for one of those channels like Chiller.

I'm still bummed that the full-series DVD set of Werewolf they announced years back never came to fruition...

Yeah that sucks. I have bootlegs, but I was very excited for the real thing.

I had a dream that Shout/Scream made a deal with Netflix and released their original films on physical media.

No, seriously though, that would be cool.

The Cloverfield Paradox
Hush
The Babysitter
The Ritual
Bright
I am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House
Pee-wee's Big Holiday
Little Evil

We need the Netflix originals on physical media!

So far the only Netflix original Shout is releasing is Mystery Science Theater 3000 The Return. And that's because they own the show. But Paramount kept their home media rights for Cloverfield Paradox from what I've heard. However, there is evidence to support that Netflix has exclusive rights to show original movies for at least seven years before there can be any other release. Mike Flanagan on Twitter responded to someone asking about a Blu-ray release for his Netflix exclusive movie Hush, and he replied with "7 Years with a Netflix Exclusive" (https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...8&postcount=84). So don't expect any Netflix movie to come to disc for a long time.

Yeah, most of the production companies making content for Netflix have their own physical media deals in place with other home video lables.

For example: Tilted Productions makes Oranges is the New Black, Netflix premiers it exclusively on their streaming service for a year or more, then Lionsgate (who owns Tilted Productions) can releases it on DVD / Blu-ray.

This along with Are You Afraid of the Dark? Are my most wanted TV shows on blu ray. SF need to make both happen. Isn't AYAOTD with Nickelodeon or is it Paramount?

Had no idea. But maybe it's still possible they could work out a deal with Paramount to release AYAOTD? They did release other Nickelodeon shows (on DVD however).

Especially with the new Are You Afraid of the Dark? Film coming out next year.

Or you can just wait for awards season and ebay will get flooded with screener copies. If you need the physical copy, that's your best bet for a lot of Netflix's stuff.

Since it's marginally related to this thread now by way of the new Collector's Edition release of The Strangers...

Here's my review of The Strangers: Prey at Night.

The Strangers: Prey at Night rocked my face. It's a great sequel. I won't go so far as to say that it's better than the first movie, but it excels in ways that are both similar and different.

(After my six-day hospital stay last week, due to a ruptured appendix and a resultant infection, I'm glad that my stomach was recovered enough yesterday to make a trip to the theater.)

Incidentally...

Here's my review of The Strangers as well.

This is a movie content review, but, as far as the Scream Collector's Edition of The Strangers goes, I have nothing but great things to say. The Blu-ray presentation is stellar all around. This is one of the landmark Scream Factory releases of the year so far.

Corman sold New Horizons - his post-New World Pictures company. I thought the earlier films (like Galaxy of Terror) belonged to a different entity?

I've some how never seen The Strangers but with the new SF release and the sequel my interest is piqued. I may have to pick up the new blu.
