Also, you're on youtube? What's your channel/handle?

Going back to your comment on the Blood Beach poster, I could not agree more. When I was a kid I would run into the local video store and head straight for that box. At the same time, it scared/fascinated the s**t out of me.
My username here is the same as my YouTube name. Thanks in advance for checking the channel out! Aside from a high profile slasher like "My Bloody Valentine", Lionsgate is sitting on a huge library of titles. If I'm not mistaken, Lionsgate absorbed a countless number of VHS companies that had the rights to hundreds of flicks. I'm sure a list of what titles they actually absorbed in each of these acquisitions would never be made public for the sheer fact that it would anger so many fans wondering why they haven't done anything with so many of these films. Some of their DVD titles that I wish would have seen a Blu-ray release were "The Gate" and "The Wraith". The special edition DVDs of both were terrific and would have been great to see in HD. It's a shame that there were plans to do a special edition of "Blood Diner" which sadly never came to fruition. Instead, Lionsgate have started dumping MIA titles like "Blood Diner", "Chud II" and"Ghoulies III: Ghoulies Go To College" on 8-Film DVD collections. An absolute missed opportunity that Lionsgate should have just chosen to sublicense these flicks out instead.

The original My Bloody Valentine from 1981 is actually a Paramount title. LG had a deal with Paramount in the last couple of years, but it expired (hence the title is OOP). LG had access to a number of Paramount horror films, but they only put two out on BD--MBV and The Relic. They also had April Fool's Day and Pet Sematary 2.

That's right, I wonder if those films all went to WB for the next 3 years or remained with Paramount. I'd love to see "April Fool's Day" and "Pet Sematary 2", which is, if I say so myself, an underrated sequel.

I have to think Without Warning would sell at least as well as Town That Dreaded Sundown, The Evictors, Video Dead, Terrorvision, The Vagrant, etc. It appeals to sci-fi as well as horror fans, plus you have the intriguing casting of Jack Palance, a major star. Really can't understand why this hasn't been announced yet if Shout has access to it. Would be a perfect fit for the Scream Factory line, and the classic poster would make for great cover art.

Completely agree. I caught that on AMC's Fear Fest a couple of years ago and couldn't, for the life of me, understand what all the hate towards that movie was for.

New titles will probably be announced about three months before release... when it goes up for preorder.

I found this on Walmart's website last week...they are probably confusing it with the remake but IDK.

Extremely disappointed to hear that Scream Factory aren't releasing Howling 2: Your Sister is a Werewolf, aka. Howling II: Stirba - Werewolf *****. Yes, looking at it as a sequel to the great The Howling, it is a huge disappointment. It is nothing like that film, but that's why it's so much fun!

Like Troll 2, Pieces, and Burial Ground it has such a cult following because it's so out there and bad. I always have a blast watching this. It's a movie you get together with some friends and some beers and just have a fun time laughing with and at it.

It's only a matter of time before people realize how awesomely bad this film and it becomes a cult classic, is and then MGM will want to keep it for itself like it did with Troll 2.

Just some of the insanity you will see in this film:

- Christopher Lee wearing new age sunglasses.

- Sybil Danning walking around the whole movie in dominatrix outfits and aviator glasses. That is when she isn't baring her breasts, including one scene that is repeated 17 times throughout the closing credits.

- Werewolf orgies.

- Silver only puts werewolves in a coma, but for some odd reason various vampire mythos hurt them such as garlic, holy water and stakes to the heart (Made from Titanium as for some odd reason that is the only thing that kills werewolves in this film).

- Frantic bad editing, including lots of comic book wipes.

- Newwave music with lots of werewolf related lyrics.

- Little people is disguises attacking people.

- Plenty of cheesy effects and decent gore.

Yes folks, this one is a keeper, which is a real shame that it's being ignored by Scream. It may not be the best horror title I own, far from it actually, but it is definitely one of the most fun!

Click here for more Howling 2 greatness.

[Show spoiler]

And here's a great review that says it all.

I would probably agree with this. Criterion always put out quality releases, but Scream/ Shout put out releases that are more geared to my tastes. I could see myself eventually picking up everything they have released, not so much for Criterion.

They also got almost all the Price films too, and a lot of that era MGM horror.
Like "Theater of Blood" and "From a Whisper to a Scream".

Cliff did say in an interview with 40oz of Horror that he did get "a couple" Vincent Price flicks, so that good. Its just a question of which one(s).
Damn that's disappointing. I have no clue what the box set will be then, what else is left? What about The Fly Collection (1958-1965)? Damn it's embarrassing that there are no Vincent Price starring movies on Bluray in North America. Most consider him the face of horror films.

I wouldn't say "most." I think "most" people nowadays don't have any clue who Vincent Price is.

I mean, let's face it, he's been dead for 20 years and most of his films that are worth watching are now 40-50 years old, minimum. The market for gothic horror catalog titles that old is quickly disappearing, especially when it comes to blu. I'd be surprised if the DVDs even sold that well...

I am disappointed to see the change of heart related to pre-release announcements. My impression is that with the Friday announcements there was a lot of positive fanfare and buzz surrounding that anticipation. It seems a little anticlimatic for the pre-order to just pop up.

Tales of Terror
The Abominable Dr. Phibes
The Last Man on Earth
The Pit and the Pendulum
The Raven
Theatre of Blood
War Gods of the Deep
Damn, that's a lot of my favourites.

So they don't have,

Comedy of Terrors
Cry of the Banshee
Dr. Phibes Rises Again
Evening of Edgar Allan Poe
Fall of the House of Usher
Murders in the Rue Morgue (Price isn't in this but still Corman Poe)
Oblong Box
Pit and the Pendulum
Premature Burial (Again Price is absent here but a great Poe adaptation)
Tomb of Ligeia
Twice Told Tales

Not part of the Corman Poe collction but I would love to see the Last Man on Earth/ Panic in Year Zero! double feature on Bluray. I know Price isn't in Panic but it is still a great flick ahead of its' time.

I have a feeling we will definitely be seeing Dolls, Ghoulies/ Ghoulies 2 and Prince of Darkness from Scream. If the box set isn't a Price Collection then the only thing really left is The Amityville Horror Trilogy which would be pretty sweet since only the first has been released on Bu and it was a shoddy barebones release, missing all the great docs. that the DVD boxset had. Part 2 is very underrated as well, although Part 3 is pretty terrible. Cliff has pretty much denied every other possible franchise (Psycho, Critters, Sleepaway Camp, Child's Play, Phantasm, Friday the 13th, ect.).

A friendly suggestion: double-check titles at DVD Aficianado before making such posts - there would be considerably less clutter and redundancy in this thread if people would do a quick bit of research instead of just posting lengthy wish-lists of random horror titles they'd like Scream to release. Not picking on you, just trying to save time and space in the future.

The Friday announcements were exciting but I think Cliff got a little turned off by the constant "I don't like this movie, what else have you got?' type of responses. Now we'll just have to wait until a pre-order goes up to learn about the new stuff. Personally, I don't like to preorder anything too far in advance so this isn't something I'll be looking forward to as much as I looked forward to Fridays but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. The important thing is there's a lot of good stuff coming - a little something for everyone.

How do we know it's a franchise box though? It could be an actor/actress set, or a group of films linked by theme.
