You know, I just realized that Universal now owns DreamWorks Animation. So, I really want Shout to license the older Dreamworks movies. I really want Prince of Egypt and Road to El Dorado on Blu-ray.

Apologies if this has been noted already, but Scream Factory released The Fog and The Howling on blu as a double disc release. I’d add it to the list on page 1 but don’t know if I’ve permission to do edits...

Yes, I'd take it any way I can get it. That would be awesome. Very good news hopefully.

Great news.

Summercamp Nightmare, Sorority House Massacre 2 etc would be brilliant.

Could Wavelength be a possible Corman title?

The Hollywood Reporter article mentions Shout acquired around 270 films so there is around another 180 films to add to the list.

Hmm, assuming they can fit two films on each disc, can we assume an 135-BD box set, with individual releases of everything to follow?

New Horizon?

Could this mean the dream of owning Sorority House Massacre 2 on bluray could come true? Do it Scream Factory!

Might have to sell a kidney to someone in the Code Red thread just to afford it.

Yes, we need as much Black Scorpion on blu-ray as we can get. The movies seem like a good candidate for one of their double feature discs.

I know everyone is excited about the Corman deal - but does anyone know who owns the rights to Jack with Robin Williams? Surprised this hasn't seen a release yet. Such a great movie and it deserves a release in his honor! Might be a good Shout Select release.

That's quite a list. I don't think I've seen 95% of these movies - maybe someone could break the list down. Categories could include "So bad they're good", "So bad they're actually bad" lol. By the way, I hope Shout did some research on what kind of source materials Corman has available before they made the purchase, otherwise we're going to be looking at lots of problems (and complaints from fans).

The dvd was released by Disney/Buena Vista so I'm assuming Disney owns it. A blu-ray would have to come from Disney/DMC unless Kino decides to make a deal with Disney to release it.

Yeah, and with the fact that Bill Cosby is in it, I wouldn't expect it to ever get a Blu-ray. Though maybe Coppola can pull some strings if he ever wants this released. But I don't think it's priority for him.

I heard someone say this deal includes Meet the Applegates. I thought Meet the Applegates was New World, which Corman still owns. Anyone have info? I'd LOVE to get a SF CE of Meet the Applegates. But that's obviously wishful thinking...

Same here. The only thing I remember about Carnosaur was that I was eating pizza when I first watched it. When the dino started eating people and getting bloody, the marinara on the pizza became a little less appetizing to me and I couldn't finish it haha.

Yeah, we all need to remember this deal is for New Horizons Pictures, not New World, Concorde or New Concorde.

If true, then the benefits of this deal may be much smaller than originally thought. Right off the bat this would mean no Sorority House Massacre 2, Hard to Die, Munchies, etc.

This list

https://letterboxd.com/artyficial/li...-new-horizons/

claims to be complete at 144 titles, but the purchase included over 250 correct? If so then clearly other titles outside of the New Horizons Pictures offshoot would have to of been included in the deal.
