probably Carpenter's most underrated film!

Agree with your assessment... it's like Carpenter making a Spielberg flick... full of heart and strong emotion throughout... excellent film.

Another thing Scream Factory said today on facebook

"Here’s hoping everyone has a great weekend! We’ll have more to announce in the beginning of May. And we’ll leave you on this teaser note…we have A LOT coming this Fall through the end of the year that we think you will really be excited for!"

Salems Lot...i know it's a stupid guess because it already exists

Funny enough someone pointed that out in the comments of the post and they had this to say

"Please don't read into "a lot" as a hint of a future title. It wasn't typed with that intention."

Classic SF will never admit they have a title even if they were to announce it tomorrow. You never know though.

So does that mean we shouldn't build anticipation for the remainder of August's releases?

With the Sony deal, they could probably release some Columbia horror films from the 1930s-1950s.

I feel like in August we'll get one more title on everyones Warner wish lists like how we did with ITMOM for July. Then in the Fall all the big titles will hit with at least 2 or more CE's a month hopefully!

Maybe they'll do a Carpenter box of the rumored 4K upgrades.

Probably not.

Looking forward to the coming announcements though!

I’d totally buy that. Right now, we know they have 11: Precinct 13, Somebody’s Watching Me, Elvis, The Fog, EFNY, The Thing, Prince of Darkness, They Live, Memoirs, ITMOM, VOTD.

Still curious why we have not seen Big Trouble In Little China as a CE from Scream. Do they still have a deal with Fox?

You're right, I just realized all the Fox/SF movies I was thinking of came out a while back. Well that answers my question!

I'm betting they have plans to for a 2-disc CE with new 2K or HD transfer with Hooper tribute documentary, featurettes, interviews, old commentary, trailers and TV Spots.

Sony owns it and here's hoping we get that on BD from them.

For anyone who enjoys Sci-fi/horror even classic ones like me, who's up for Universal/Scream to release Tarantula and This Island Earth in Collector's Edition blu-rays? i enjoyed them as Shout did released MST3K the movie which i enjoyed the movie and the MST3K film version yet like to see the uncut full version with extras galore on This Island Earth.

I love ya, Owl, but The Autopsy of Jane Doe is awful. It DOES have one of the greatest buildups... but to NOTHING! I usually cannot totally guess exactly where any movie is going, but I guessed the entire second half of the film almost beat for beat. Lazy, uninspired filmmaking that is only made worse because it squandered a great concept.

The film has crossover appeal, outside of the horror community, with classic car junkies and greasers. If nothing else, you could do some extras that cater more specifically to that audience.
Absolutely ridiculous.

Absolutely, plus The Incredible Shrinking Man and the remaining Universal Horror titles not related to the classic monsters. Would love to have the Legosi/Karloff version of The Black Cat.
