The mini-series is great, so I'd definitely buy it.

I will get a lot of slack on this, but personally I prefer the miniseries. I agree that the film is much better quality overall, but the miniseries is a the better experience since it's given the time to flesh out the story and characters.

This would be nice, but I doubt it's a priority. I've asked Mick Garris about potential Blu-rays from his filmography; he's stated that the only film he's shot that couldn't get a Blu-ray would be the Stand miniseries, due to how it was filmed. Everything else is game, according to him.

What if it had 2K restoration plus retrospective featurette, interviews and deleted scenes?

That would be nice and maybe a 2-disc CE of IT (1990) would be good and uncut too.

I'm betting they might do Xtro in a CE.

Should it be a CE or just a regular Scream Factory?

I like Cobra, and I like the early Seagal films, but I'm not buying any of these if released by Shout/Scream. They all have serviceable Blu-rays, and they're all in my collection. Yeah, Cobra could use a new transfer, and I know a new Blu would make a lot of people happy, but it just doesn't interest me at this time. Too much other stuff should take priority at the moment, not films already out on Blu-ray.

Glimmer Man, on the other hand, is ripe for Shout Select. Bring that one on...

It would be great for the fans that just want a handful of the NOES movies but a cash grab for the ones who want all the movies. Thats like 250 bucks for all 7!!!!

Not sure were your getting $250.00 for all 7. According to my Amazon order (which was a preorder) I paid $110 for the deluxe 'Halloween' set. I would assume this would be similarly priced...

As well as his two other WB films not yet on BD - On Deadly Ground and Fire Down Below.

Since Warners hasn't really put much of an effort in with regards to a legitimate special edition of Beetlejuice, I would think given its the 30th anniversary this year that Scream could put together something nice.

Damn, is this true? Because I just recently broke down and bought both Umbrella versions of these recently! It reminds me how long I waited (and waited) for NOTLD '68, couldn't wait no more, & ordered the Happinet version, then weeks later the Criterion is announced! Gah!

You know what that means....

I have a bet at the end of this month or next month or at the comic con they have plans to acquire Beetlejuice for a CE with 2K or 4K scan and extras galore.

I'm guessing they might have it up their sleeves and would be a bestseller.

It remains to be seen whether or not Shout will have access to higher-profile properties. Beetlejuice and Poltergeist were bypassed for special treatment previously by Warner but those may have been bypassed for a good reason (talent may have opposed creating extras for whatever reason). For comparison, MGM's vault seems to be wide open and pretty much anything is up for grabs but it may be a different situation at the WB. Just sayin' so you can keep your expectations in check

Keeping in mind the "leaker" isn't so much an industry insider as he is a social media stalker and harasser. So I wouldn't hold your breath.

I hope this Warner Bros. deal means A Return to Salem's Lot will happen. It's not a very good film but I always find it interesting to watch. I previously thought it impossible it would ever see the slight of day on Blu-ray so I have renewed hope. It helps that Shout has gotten Larry Cohen to participate heavily on the It's Alive trilogy boxset and they've released many of his films already on Blu-ray. You'd think they'd do some sort of boxset just for him at this point. Maybe they could also get an interview with Tara Reid to talk about Salem's Lot, she probably needs to supplement her Sharknado income haha.

I wish we didn't have to wait until Comic Con in July to find out what Shout has up their sleeve for the rest of the year. That Zolly nut said Deadly Friend and NoES were not among the upcoming titles. while I'm inclined not to believe some wacko with a grudge from Minnesota has "insider" info I'd still like to know what's coming sooner rather than later. I'm counting on Shout to rescue 2018 - not feeling any of Arrow's announcements these days

I would love a double feature of The Glimmer Man and Fire Down Below.
