Never heard of The Evil (or of any of the films announced for September so far). I can’t find an article about the plot on Wikipedia either. I’ll check later to see if it’s on YouTube to see whether I will like the film enough to buy it.

I haven't heard of "The Evil" before today, but after a quick IMDB search it sounds promising...

Have you seen Superstition (1982)? It's similar in tone. I'm stoked for this.

Never heard of The Evil either.

I've heard of Seventh Sign but haven't seen it yet. I got a friend who's crazy about the film and keeps saying I should see it. Since I waited this far I'll wait for the BD then.

It's also possible that they might release more titles than usual in September (they did say a lot was coming later in the year).
Someone called their September line up so far lame on Facebook today and SF replied saying that more titles are due to be announced throughout next week so hopefully there's more on the way !

Will there be a collector's edition for September?

I certainly hope so, they are probably just announcing the lesser titles first.

Yeah I'm now wondering if they might have something like 7-8 titles up their sleeve. I also wouldn't be surprised if they ended the week with something high profile tomorrow.

I can't wait! i'm gonna throw my old DVD in the trash to get this new BD and should look better than ever.

Yes indeed more WB and Sony and Universal titles should be good! even some Corman and what if they announce ITC's The Company of Wolves in a CE?

More money saving for me, just not my thing but I will say Joanna Pettet was hot. I have a very small amount of titles I'm looking for so I expect a lot of disappointment because the odds are against me. Glad for those that enjoy these though. Deep Rising made my month anyway.

Another Corman title for September: Brain Dead

So that's 4 already for September. It's definitely shaping up to be a bumper month if they're continuing the announcements into next week.

If we end up getting that many in glad that I'm only interested in one so far, otherwise it would be a very expensive month !!!

I actually really love this Brain Dead so... yay!

But we all know there's another Brain Dead that SOMEONE needs to release soon!

Braindead is Jackson's film, Brain Dead is a separate title.

Braindead could use a Criterion or Arrow release as they should approach Jackson since Jackson has rights to his own film.

You know they have to have a CE they're sitting on for September. Maybe tomorrow, or next week. Plus that Shout Select title.

So far I'm on board for Seventh Sign, the Evil, and Brain Dead. Looks like Scream will be hitting the old wallet hard through the rest of the year.
