Some of the new announcements are lesser titles, but don't forget they've already announced Brainscan (a long requested title and favorite), RotLD2, three John Carpenter titles, the It's Alive Trilogy, and a few others. I'm positive they're sitting on a big load of greatness, but I'd say they've given us several bones already. I've bugged them about Brainscan for years, and even though it's not a CE, I'll gladly take it in its HD world premiere release from my favorite boutique label.

The Evil, Seventh Sign, and Deep Rising are great announcements for me

Loving all the announcements so far. Deep Rising is Kino but I like to lump all good announcements together I feel like Shout will actually have too much stuff on their schedules what with Warner, Sony and Universal (?)deals, in addition to any independent stuff they may pick up here and there. The facebook people saying Shout's lineup is lame are a bunch of whiny babies. Who knows what they consider to be "good" titles

Well Brainscan, Return of the Living Dead 2, The Unborn, Brain Dead, The Evil, Seventh Sign, The Tingler, Strait Jacket, In The Mouth of Madness, Memoirs of an Invisible Man and Someone's Watching Me i cannot wait to get and decided to pawn my old DVDs of each one to get these new releases.

Went ahead and preordered In the Mouth of Madness and Memoirs 9f an Invisble Man. Here soon going to try and get Piranha 2 and The Evil. Would lime to see them release Alligator, wonder if it's on their horizon.

Maybe next week or at the end of next month or at the comic con they might announce Alligator in a CE since it's a requested movie and no longer with Lionsgate but an independent company.

Just imagine! featurettes, 2K scan from original negative or interpositive, trailers, TV spots, radio spots, poster-and-still gallery, retrospective documentary and more? fans can retire their old DVD like me for example.

Use to watch Alligator when it would show on tv every year, loved it back in the day. Never bought it on any format. If Scream vets it a definite buy.

In 2007, two talented Spanish filmmakers created a terrifying film that went on to spawn three sequels, an American remake and its sequel. In the first film, [REC], a TV reporter and her crew are asked to cover a crew of firemen on duty. What seems like a routine story about a night at the fire station soon turns into a nightmare. Trapped inside a quarantined building, the crew must try to survive the terror that rages inside.

[REC] 2 picks up minutes after the end of [REC]. The authorities have lost contact with the people trapped inside the quarantined building and chaos reigns. A Special Operations Unit has been tasked with entering the premises ... only to discover that this is anything but a straightforward mission.

[REC] 3: GENESIS leaves the confines of the quarantined building to follow the wedding of Koldo and Clara. Everything appears to be running smoothly and the bride and groom are enjoying a wonderful day ... until some of the guests start showing signs of a strange illness and unleash a torrent of violence.

[REC] 4: APOCALYPSE returns focus to Ángela Vidal, the young reporter who has managed to make it out of the building alive. But she hasn't made it out of the building alone as she carries the seed of the strange infection. She is taken to a provisional quarantine facility: the perfect location for the virus to be reborn.

I imported a European REC collection set about a year or so ago and it's pretty good overall. Not sure if I'll double dip. Great movies.

Now that's an impressive announcement. I've already got the first three films in Region A friendly releases and the Region B release of the 4th film but depending what they put together for extras and/or the price on this set, I may need to double dip. I should probably sell my current collection while it still has some value.

Ugh...can't stand found footage movies. So far the hype has far out weighed the reality. Enjoy those that like this though. More money saving! I never thought I would say this but I'm more excited for the Kino slate with Deep Rising, Night Stalker Movies and Trilogy of Terror than what I have seen lately. Hopefully still saving the big guns.

[REC] is great news! I love love love that film. I wish it was available standalone, because I'm not sure I need the sequels. I think I've only seen the second one.

And the fact that it's only $50 right now on the main site.........it's way cheaper than I imagined. I can see that dropping to $35-$40 on Amazon by the date of release!

If you grew up during the mid to late 90's it wouldn't surprise me that you haven't heard of these films.

I've only seen the Quarantine films, but I've always wanted to see these. Exciting announcement. I wonder if Shout would release Quarantine: Terminal to Blu-ray in the future (not that anyone is asking for it).
