I mean Fright Night 2 is owned by the Vista Company which Shout did one of their titles so definitely could happen this year next week or in July mostly at comic con.

Critters 1 and 2 will most likely get collector's editions and are the most loved films from that franchise while the other sequels can be in a double feature i believe and even in a boxset for anyone who wants all 4 movies.

Yet what if next week they announce a Universal title like Tremors or any Chucky sequel or another Sony title like Wolf CE or Screamers or Hardcore or or Happy Birthday to me CE or 8MM? or WB like Deadly Friend CE or Twilight Zone the Movie CE?
I'd kill for a Fright Night 2 bluray.. :..(

Fright Night 1 or 2 are distinct possibilities for next week's announcements. They certainly fit the "big 80's title" description.

That hint was in reference to a Shout Select announcement.

Yes those are big guesses as i bet they have those up their sleeves.

Fans of FN who already have the import version of the original would definitely be lucky to get FN 2 in a CE and i can see 2K restoration, commentary, trailers, poster and still gallery, retrospective documentary, interviews, deleted scenes and the whole shabang.

And those who don't own the import version or Twilight's release of FN would be happy to get FN in a CE.

And what if they announced Jason Goes to Hell CE as well as Tremors CE?

One movie I would love for SCREAM to get their hands on is MUTANTS. The foreign virus film at an abandoned hospital of sorts im the winter.

Sounds interesting and Scream might release more obscure or little known titles even some that never got a BD or DVD release even foreign films.

Scream did a fantastic job on It's Alive 1 and 3 on the PQ as the first film's 2K restoration even to Of Unknown Origin is sooo good you be hard to be convinced It's Alive 1 and 3 with Of Unknown Origin were made yesterday.

I would be down for a box set for Critters.

I want a box of Critters at once instead of getting them individually.

I would hope the sequels are given their own box set and the original is released separately as a Collector's Edition. I've never seen any of the sequels, so I'm only interested in the first film. It would suck if it was only included in a box with other movies I haven't seen.

I don't think I'll ever understand the unabated requests for the Critters series to be divvied up into two CE releases and a double feature, when a box set for all four would probably be priced equal to or less than just the two CEs.

Critters 2 is the best and worth watching sequel in the series and almost surpasses part 1! plus it has the ball of critters, the easter bunny attack and the sexiest transformation put on film as Lee the bounty hunter who could not find the right self in the originally finally finds the right form and becomes this really hot blonde semi-nude playboy model and she is gorgeous.

Agreed. There is always a market for any film. So even if a person despises the sequels so much that they can't stand the thought of having them in their collection, the money they'd make off of selling them shortly after release would likely drive the cost of the films down to under what single releases would cost.

I think some might want it that way thinking that if they box set them they might skimp on the special features that they would get otherwise. Personally I just want all four, doesn't bother me either way.

I felt the same about the It's Alive films. It was a blind buy I regretted.

Nah, thought the first Rec was entertaining at best.
I'd consider The Blair Witch Project lightning in a bottle in the found footage department.

I'm sure all 4 critters will be in boxset with the first 2 chockloaded with extras galore even a TV cut of Critters 2 with extra footage even Lee's "body fit" line which was shown on the extended TV cut as heard in the script after she pulled the staple out of from her sexy torso as it shows Lee needed a female form the whole time after not being satisfied in guys's forms in the original.

For other Universal titles, who wants Thirst (2009 Korean vampire film) with extras and 2K remastering? that would be awesome since it's one of the best underrated vampire films and foreign horror films in recent memory.

Maybe King Kong vs Godzilla with both US and Japanese cuts. Or what about Watchers since it's with New Horizons or does Lionsgate have Watchers?

How about The Bone Collector and Skeleton Key as well?

And on transfers, i forgot to mention Willard which looks flawless and looks so great you think it was hardly made in 1971.
