Weird, I got the usual case for that. If it's inconsistent that will be even more frustrating.

My case for Of Unknown Origin was a regular case but it actually felt denser then the cases Scream/Shout! normally uses for their releases. Like, slightly heavier, slightly sturdier.

So who's gonna unleash the ol' Candyman? Sony? Arrow? Scream?

I'm thinking it'll be an October release from Arrow, both UK and US/CAN. With today's announcement of Day of the Jackal, it appears that Arrow has gained a foothold with Universal for some North American rights, and I suspect Sony's distribution rights have expired, across the board, and have now reverted to Universal, as successor in interest to Polygram.

Well ok.

Saturday The 14th i definitely want an upgrade of my old DVD and to get rid of it as it needs new life on blu-ray and Stepfather sequels needs to be on bluray badly.

I'll agree with that prediction. An Arrow release of Candyman US/UK for October. That makes the most sense. And it would be the boost Arrow needs right now. If they're holding anything big, October is the time to cash it in...

Didn't they address that in a comment when this release was originally announced? I think someone asked and Scream responded that for whatever reason, they weren't able to do a new transfer.

Are you sure Arrow is gonna do Candyman in the US or is that in the UK while either Sony or Twilight or Scream gonna do a US BD?

I still think SF is going to do Candyman. I can already picture the bad cartoony cover in my head.
