The Shining might be done by Criterion even with The Devil's.

But those other titles you mentioned even some Universal ones, a few ITC ones (Company of Wolves with Stepfather boxset), The Blob 88, some Corman stuff and who knows but this week or friday then next week we'll see what they have in store for us to make us surprised.

Yes Devil's is a contender for Criterion since Criterion has Altered States too.

Fade to Black, Dawn, Martin, Fright Night 2, Night of the Juggler etc. would be neat too.

I believe Kino might do it.
Woow.. o.o so according to this guy.. anything and everything that people suggest could come out for October or sdcc... well sir .. that's quite a bit..

Does this mean that Bug Buster (1998) has a chance too?

Night Flier would be amazing too. I was lucky to snag the DVD before it went OOP, but it does need a serious upgrade.

There's some animations I'd love to see get released by Shout (or at least someone):

Powerpuff Girls Movie
Osmosis Jones
Don Bluth movies (most of them need new remasters and special treatment, I also want Titan A.E. on Blu-ray)
DreamWorks Animation Catalog (Road to El Dorado, Prince of Egypt, Antz, Curse of the Were-rabbit, etc.)

While titles like The Lost Boys, Gremlins and Beetlejuice would be huge acquisitions for Scream, I personally wouldn't be all that shocked given that I'm half-expecting them at this point (moreover, they've already been released). Cruising, Deadly Friend and Alone in the Dark would be great but again, we're all kind of braced for them, which doesn't seem unreasonable. But for those who don't keep tabs over who owns what and who has deals with what (which is probably most of Scream's fanbase), these titles would almost certainly cause a few blown minds and dropped jaws.

Outside of Warner and Sony, of course anything Paramount and stuff like Dawn of the Dead, Martin, Fright Night II, Alligator, Fade to Black, Night of the Juggler would also qualify as 'mind-blowing/jaw-dropping' fare.
Valid point. We're a select group of SF enthusiasts, and are NOT representative of the base of Scream Factory's fans. If they announce Lost Boys, I'm sure a lot of minds will be blown. But mine will not be one of them, since A) it already has a great release and B) we've all anticipated its eventual announcement. That being said, they have to know that a percentage of the fans will NOT be satisfied with double dips of already existing Blu-rays. That's not what we want from them, and they know it. So there's bound to be something good in the works. Still, I think the "mind-blowing" and "jaw-dropping" titles will most likely come from Shout Select, as there's a lot of potential for greatness in that line, with many Warner titles needing an HD presentation. Also wouldn't be surprised to see The Missing and 8mm show up with Select.

Regarding a Paramount deal, I don't think that would be this year (but my mind would certainly be blown if it was). I'm sure they're focused on Warner and Sony right now. But hopefully in the future. I'm not holding much hope for Disney/Buena Vista/Hollywood Pics/Touchstone, but I have a feeling Paramount will eventually cave. All it takes is one guy with the right connection. I'd love to know the inner workings on how these other deals transpired, but as they've said before, they won't go into specifics...

Paramount will cave...eventually. Shout and Paramount already have a history albeit a very brief one. And the Mountain studio is not entirely against licensing to third parties as much as Disney was as they've been more open to lending out some of their titles to indy labels. We're not entirely there with Disney yet but toes have been dipped into the pond. Paramount has more of the titles that are closer to my cup of tea than Warner.

Yeah, definite gold. I've caved on Graveyard Shift (the Spanish release), Silver Bullet (German), and Dead Zone (Australian), but would easily take any of these in a U.S. form. Let's Scare Jessica to Death is major, as is April Fool's Day (I'd take both versions) and Tales From the Darkside. One day, guys. One day. I have to keep my hopes up, as I never thought we'd get a Brainscan release, and here it is, months from its debut. I'd add Stepford Wives and Body Parts, too.

I can't speak for the 84 German release, but the Spanish release Diabolik sells is region free.

The Spanish is a bootleg, most likely ripped from the German release. It's fine. Nothing spectacular to me, but a serviceable HD release nonetheless. I enjoyed the rewatch, and it's much better than the DVD quality. Is the 84 release better? I'm sure it is...

Looks like they're not starting October's announcements today. They won't be announcing anything next Wednesday given the holiday, and I can't see them announcing much thereafter (based on past form I'd say Monday 9th will be too late given how Amazon operates, and I think they'll want at least one day before then to reveal the IFC stuff). Unless they plan on announcing more than one title a day, it seems as though we won't be getting as many titles as September, which is hardly surprising. I think we'll get about five, which should mean they'll start announcing stuff either tomorrow or Thursday.

Don't hold your breath on Twilight Zone: the Movie. As much as it would be a great Blu-Ray set... if all parties were willing to talk.

What if Lost Boys had a new restoration in either 2K or 4K?

Darkside needs a BD badly and so does Dead Zone! What if Kino did both?

That's the bare minimum anyone would expect. If Scream released it with a decade-old transfer it would be pointless, however many extras they add (and the original release was pretty stacked anyway).
