Would you be saying that if you didn’t already own an import?

It hasn’t been released in the US, but it will eventually. You don’t have to buy it.

Hopefully a new announcement today. Yesterday I was simultaneously waiting for The Backlot Murders from Darkforce to go up for sale, the Church and the Unseen to show up at RoninFlix, and a new CE announcement from SF--none of which happened. Diabolik did, however, ship my Umbrella release of Escape From Absolom, which I suspected wouldn't be available for several more months...

I agree but I have the german release of Xtro that looks pretty great so id rather have Dr. Giggles take that place.

No, I'm not obligated to buy it, but can't I also have the opinion that it isn't a high priority?

Yes, I would feel different if it were region locked or hard to obtain, but you can get it at amazon for 17.99, It already has great special features and really good audio. The PQ could be improved, but it isn't a sure bet with this title.

It's just my opinion that other films are a higher priority.

These forums are all about opinions but that last bit is just absurd. Every home video release, regardless of the film, deserves the best transfer possible. BTW, that Aussie BD is far from acceptable. Umbrella usually puts out good product so I don't know what happened here.

The reviewer here gives it a 3.5 PQ, 4 for AQ and a 4 for extras.

I mean, I'm not going to throw a fit if Scream releases it, but there are other titles that seem to be more in demand.

Whatever people's thoughts, if Scream did secure a Paramount deal I don't think there's any question that Silver Bullet would be very near the top of their wants list.

I agree.

I myself already have it twice on blu ray, and once on DVD, LOL.

I have a German mediabook of it, and the Umbrella release. I also have that DVD King box set from back in 2006, that had "Silver Bullet", "The Dead Zone", "Pet Sematary", and "Graveyard Shift" in it.

I'm sure it would be. Silver Bullet very much fits in with the Scream Factory brand, and even though I own the Koch, I'd most likely pick it up again.

Absolutely. I love Body Parts. Eric Red was talking about it on FB the other day. Jeff Fahey is awesome in it, and it seems like it'd be a perfect SF title.

Scream/Shout Factory will be closed for sure on Wednesday (Independence Day), but not sure about Tuesday or Thursday, with it being Wed. it's hard to tell what companies will do, typically you get an extra day to make a long weekend, but they won't give 2 extra days.

So we have a new Shout Select announcement, which means the ball is officially rolling for October reveals. Might not see anything today, but should definitely get something tomorrow.
