Here were my predictions a week or so ago for films I expected to see announced in the next year... Of those I could easily see the following for October.
-Feardotcom
-Xtro

For Comic Con I could see the following...
-Night of the Living Dead '90 CE
-Lost Boyz CE
-Dr. Giggles
-Night of the Creeps

all of which will be featured on the Pins.

Not mentioned but one I expect to see for October as well is the Sorority House Massacre/hard to Die Double feature. Finally, I expect that Critters Box set will be announced at Comic con as well.

This would bring the October announcements to 5, and the comic con announcements to 5 as well, with room for an additional few off the cuff releases.

Any of those plus maybe Cobra CE and End of Days CE for christmas releases considering those are holiday themed horror action movies with possiblity of Tremors CE, Beetlejuice 30th anniversary CE, Sleepwalkers CE with director's cut/theatrical cut, Demolition Man CE, Company of Wolves CE or whatever we all wish. Yet i dunno about Night of the Creeps though or Lost Boys.

I mean Cobra CE for the holiday would make sense just like End of Days eh since it's set around the holiday?

Beetlejuice would likely do very well at Comic Con and make for a nice button/pin so that wouldn't shock me. I don't expect to see any Scream Factory announcements for Universal titles for the rest of this year though. Cobra, Demolition Man, seem like Shout Select titles to me. Sleepwalkers may or may not ever be released by Shout Factory. Company of Wolves is another mystery title that wouldn't shock me by its announcement, but at the same time if it was never released that wouldn't shock me either.

Demolition Man is sci-fi so it's definitely a scream title as you have to remember Scream is not just exclusive to horror, suspense and thriller movies but sci-fi too remember? and Cobra has elements of horror, thriller and action in it.

Maybe they are saving one or two Universal announcements for next month or at SDCC. I do have a bet that Sleepwalkers will get the CE treatment by scream with both cuts.

I'm happy with the Second Sight release of Xtro. What I would like is a double feature of Xtro 2: The Second Encounter and Xtro 3: Watch the Skies.

Also, Collector's Editions of The Guyver (with the REAL director's cut that's currently only available on the old Japanese LaserDisc, not that revisionist censored Director's Cut that's been around since the first DVD release) and Guyver 2: Dark Hero.

Last but not least, but since we got that Roger Corman ball rolling....a remaster of Death Race 2000 with lossless audio, please?

Hell, give me steelbooks of Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World with 4K remasters.

I've got the Second sight edition of Xtro shipping to me right now so I'm with you there. Everything else sounds great as well. I'm not familiar with the sequels though, would it be possible for Scream Factory to do another budget priced box set ala It's Alive?

I've always just expected them to announce the original film, is a set within the realm of possibility?

New Line/Warner Bros owns Xtro 2, so that one should be easy to accomplish. Xtro 3, on the other hand, is owned by another company, but I think Shout can make a deal to put that out on blu-ray as well.

Interesting. That's certainly one way to battle the Second Sight Release. Release a trilogy of the films and Scream Factory would have me on the hook for sure.

Same here.

I bet Scream would make a transfer of their own for the first film using the materials Warner Bros. has in their possession.

Also, a trilogy set would mean we would finally get to see Harry Bromley Davenport go into greater detail of the making of the one Xtro film he's actually 100% proud of.

The Xtro sequels are on par with the Howling sequels IMO. The first sequel was basically a ripoff of The Terror Within. I remember renting the third film but I don't remember much about it. I think it may have started as a generic sci-fi flick called Watch the Skies that was later renamed Xtro 3, with the only connection being the same filmmakers behind the original.

Wasp Woman (1959)
House on Haunted Hill (1999)

Two movies from extreme opposite eras to satisfy both groups.

Really like the artwork on the House on Haunted Hill. Will definitely be getting this one. Still hoping for Critters and Alligator to be part of these releases.

Ugh, completely forgot about HoHH in my predictions lol.
Not buying it but its a fun film. On the other hand Feardotcom is one of the worst films I've ever seen. Can't believe people would waste money on a CE for that.

Or maybe at Comic-Con.

Anywayssss, I only hope that this mainstream fare results in some nice, obscure 80s and 90s horror. I have largely no interest in most of the predicted stuff or what’s been announced lately. I’d like to be able to rely on Scream to get unpredictable again. That stuff probably doesn’t sell but I’d like to see something out of left field.

Very excited for House on Haunted Hill! Can get rid of my old snap-back DVD. The new artwork is awesome. I know most in this thread hate the late 90's/early 2000's cast/floating head covers, but I am glad Scream will have the original art as well because the handprint cover is great. It gives me total nostalgia, I can remember watching the VHS at my aunt's house.

Definite day 1 purchase for HOHH. Can’t believe it hasn’t been released before until now.

Jesus. Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World have gotten heavy rotation during the nine plus years I’ve owned them. Would happily pony up for an update. Maybe slip in the soundtrack for FW if they’re feeling generous

Feardotcom is one the trailers never got me interested in it. Just never been on my radar to watch, glad some others enjoy it tho.

Since the soundtrack for Galaxy of Terror has finally come out (albeit on vinyl), include a CD copy with the 4K remaster too.
