With the "Jaw Dropping" quote for me would be Deadly Friend Director's Cut or at least the deleted scenes being included in a CE. The Haunting of Julia (1977), Next of Kin (1982), Jennifer (1978) and The Blood on Satan's Claw (1971) would excite me personally but I wouldn't consider it "Jaw Dropping". I do feel like we will eventually get CE from SF of NOES Box Set, Dawn of the Dead (1978) and The Evil Dead 1 & 2 (Within the Woods short finally included) with everything ported over from the previous editions but probably not for a couple of years. I heard that Shout wants to get their hands on Cruising (1980) but much like The Devils (1971) and Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977) I can only see Criterion getting those! but I might be wrong cause Wild at Heart would have made more sense for CC and Shout got it so who knows anymore!!!

After House on Haunted Hill I'm interested to see which new-to-Blu Warner titles get the CE treatment from Scream. This is obviously subjective but we can also be fairly realistic about the prospects. I think these have a shot - providing Scream can acquire them of course:

Alice Sweet Alice
Cruising
Alone in the Dark
Xtro
Razorback
Deadly Friend

The Witches
The Guyver
Judgment Night
(if not a Shout Select title)
Surviving the Game (as above)
Valentine
Eight Legged Freaks

Though we've yet to see a pre-70s CE from Scream I'd add Horror of Dracula and Curse of Frankenstein in the event that Warner Archive don't put these out themselves (I suspect they will). I think Critters 1 and 2 would also be plausible if not included in a box set.

Jennifer is already available from Kino/Scorpion.

Tell me about it. I guess you can all tell by my signature how much I want this, although I'm pretty realistic and I think the chances of this happening would be like, 2%. If we're also considering workprint tapes then I guess it'd be a 15%. Warner doesn't have a history of storing that kind of stuff, especially for a movie like Deadly Friend.

The Blood on Satan's Claw (1971) has been teased by Severin as a forthcoming release.

Next of Kin was announced by Umbrella as a forthcoming Australian release, but there's a fair chance that it will be region free. Most Umbrella titles can be imported through Umbrella or https://www.jbhifi.com.au/.

when I read about the making of Deadly Friend in the Wes Craven book and how there was a alternate cut of the film, it's something I hoped I'd eventually see, but much like how the alternate cut of Curtains was destroyed not that long ago tell me it's probably a toss up if theirs a copy still around. Although Warner has been better about archiving their films, it's still doesn't mean they have it or if they let it be released.....

Deadly Friend CE with both cuts be the bomb! Haunting of Julia, Next of Kin would be cool too.

Evil Dead 1 & 2 are owned by Lionsgate.

Razorback be swell too and how about My Demon Boyfriend?

I did hear about Severin hinting about a possible release, but I'd also heard a long time before that that Kino had a deal with Tigon British/Chilton Film Production catalog but that never happened and the last I heard was that Warner owned the US distribution, so will see when and if it comes out.

Much like with Arrow, until Umbrella starts expand into the US and Canada with their films I wait patiently for region A releases, I feel it's the only way to show that the market to sell films in US and Canada is thru sales in our own Country to say to these labels that we the public are still interested in getting them in our region and you'll have a market for it. So I'll be waiting awhile for Next of Kin, I don't know why most of the boutique labels never go for Austrailian films, Synapse seems to be the only one...

Is Evil Dead 1 & 2 owned outright by Lionsgate? or is it just a distribution deal that will run out! cause something deep down tells me that SF is just bidding their time, much like with John Carpenter, Wes Craven, Tobe Hooper, George A. Romero and Tom Holland, I feel like SF is trying to get their hands on as many Sam Raimi films as possible.

Wouldn’t Umbrella moving into the US market make them susceptible to region locking and thus their future releases would be region locked?
I mean Silver Bullet is owned in the US by Paramount. Paramount rarely licenses their films out (Kino, Olive)

No. Lionsgate holds various distribution rights to the films, but the films are not "owned" by Lionsgate. It is unclear when (or if) these distribution licenses will end.

The Evil Dead was licensed to Anchor Bay by Renaissance Pictures / Sam Raimi. Lionsgate has the rights through their acqusition of Anchor Bay's parent company, Starz. As far as I'm aware, Sam Raimi still owns the film, though it appears that the entity through which he owns the film was changed from Renaissance Pictures to Evil Dead, LLC.

The Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn is a DeLaurentiis Entertainment Group film. DEG's assets were acquired by Canal+DA (now StudioCanal) in 1994. Evil Dead II is part of a large-scale distribution package that was originally licensed to Lionsgate by StudioCanal in 2010.

Shot in the dark but I predict well get an announcement for a CE of Trick r Treat next week. Don't know if the current blu ray needs a re release but I could see Scream Factory wanting to get their hands on this with the new Warner deal.

That's what I thought, I feel like SF is just waiting for the licenses to end before swooping in and getting them, it's just a waiting game until then. At some point most of Anchor/Starz licensed catalog of films have been getting picked off by other boutique labels. So I expect the same with Evil Dead 1 & 2 as well.
