True; they all seem like safe, easy guesses. People on these forums have made better predictions with more accuracy and insight into the line, and many have been realized. Seems like SF has a bit more creativity in their selection process. A few of these I wouldn't mind, but the majority of the list is definitely not "mind-blowing."

He also essentially suggested that they had Candyman, which they've recently denied. He also said they don't have Deadly Friend or NOES. This is probably a better test of his credentials than his picks for what they do have. Deadly Friend is one of the main Warner titles I'd expect Scream to go after, so if they don't announce it by the end of this month, I'm inclined to think they don't have it.

I do think they have Deadly Friend, but they are keeping it hush, as far as the NOES franchise, I don't know about that one, I don't even think Warners knows what they want to do with that one, but they should be giving it to Shout!, they would do something special with it.

Last but not least, but since we got that Roger Corman ball rolling....a remaster of Death Race 2000 with lossless audio, please?

Hell, give me steelbooks of Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World with 4K remasters.
I love those films but why the hell would anyone want a re-release when there are so many Corman films still not on BD. There are even some that didn't make it on DVD.

This is easily the most obnoxious thread on BR.com with so many requests for titles already on BD.

That just doesn't strike me as a title that would be a priority for Scream Factory. I feel like it would also be met with the most if announced of the list provided.
If Shout found room for The Man in the Iron Mask I can't see why they wouldn't find room for Mary Shelley's Frankenstein

If Sony and Scream are now working together, I could see a Collector's Edition of Evil Dead 2013 happening (and I kind of hope it happens just get a USA disc release of the extended cut).

I think the only possible reason for Shout not having Deadly Friend is if Warner decided to not give it to them for some reason. Can't see Shout passing on DF because they're just not interested.

To be fair, what Scream Factory denies publicly carries almost zero weight.

They literally denied having or even working on Hell Night, even after pre-order pages went up for it.

I guess there won't be any announcements today. There's usually something by noon, isn't there?

Not always. The Wasp Woman wasn't announced until 12:27 PM, EDT, 9:27 PDT.

Have you seen the BD for American Psycho? It was one of the first Blu Rays on the market complete with the mpeg-2 codec. It's a dated transfer to say the least. As it's been over 10 years since the film saw any kind of updated release this would have been right at home at Scream Factory and would have been an easy Day 1 buy for me as quite literally anything that they did for the release would have proven to be an improvement.

Now with that said it's getting its own UHD in September so it's an irrelevant point now, but still... I find it puzzling when people get upset over double dips from Scream Factory when they have more than proven that they can/will release just about everything they can get their hands on. I mean we're getting what like 16 titles between September and October? If this was the Vestron thread and folks were to complain about how the 1 title planned for the next 6 months was a double-dip I'd be a bit more understanding, but with Scream Factory these days they're pumping out between 4-5 films a month now. 4 to 5 titles, every... single... month. Who gives a shit if this month they didn't release 5 new never before seen on blu ray titles this month, next month they might just do that. They tend to have a pretty good formula most months with how they structure their releases so there is almost always something for everyone.

NOES Box Set, American Psycho, Childs Play 2/3, The Fly, Tremors, etc? I say bring them all on. I'll take them all right alongside "The Wasp Woman" which I'm sure you're thrilled for.

Very true. They've denied having titles a day before announcing them.

Unless they're off until Thursday, I doubt it. They announced quite late in the day last week.

Yeah, I went back and looked, LOL. (Excited one, I am).

They announced "Dragnet" at 12:17; "Wasp Woman" at 12:29; and "Iron Mask" at 2:35pm.

So, maybe...

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT**

The fourth of July may be approaching but we’re already gearing up for Halloween as we plan to give the modern-day horror anthology classic TRICK R’ TREAT the deluxe treatment this Fall!

Details we have at present time are as follows:

• This will be branded as a “Collector’s Edition” that will come with a slipcover (guaranteed for three months after its original release date). U.S. and Canada territories (Region A).

• New extras and specs are still in progress and will be announced later in September. Extras from the previous DVD release will be ported over and more new interviews are underway. We’re happy to report that Director Michael Dougherty is very-much involved!

• The newly-commissioned artwork pictured is Director approved and comes to us from Devon Whitehead. This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will be a theatrical art alternative that Mr. Dougherty asked if we could include.
