I think the thing I'm most excited for with that announcement is that they've decided to match the physical packaging styling's that Arrow have been using on their limited editions. It's a double dip, but it's one that I don't think I can pass up. I might have to pre-order this one.

Very nice about Creepshow. I knew a retro Warner title had to hit today. This is about as great of a Warner title as you can get. Yeah, it already has a Blu-ray, but it is a sorry version. This should be the deluxe presentation. Great news.

If they can get Creepshow I don't see why they can't get the likes of Salem's Lot, IT (the original TV version - one for next September I expect) and Lost Boys. Poltergeist might be tricky, and I wouldn't be surprised if Warner held onto Gremlins and Beetlejuice, but I suspect quite a few notable Warner titles are up for grabs.

Not to be a downer but I’m still waiting for my jaw to drop... while it looks like this could very well be the definitive release, I was fully expecting them to do Creepshow at some point and it’s still technically a “double dip.” Plus, the Just Desserts documentary covers just about everything extras-wise.

The only answer to this would be if Warner (Archive) planned to release it themselves. As I've said before, if they don't announce Deadly Friend by SDCC I'm convinced they can't get it for whatever reason, as I'm pretty sure it would be among the first 15-20 Warner titles they announced.

The Creepshow announcement really does make it seem that whatever they have at Comic Con will be HUGE. That NOES set really does seem like a major possibility now. Still hoping for Critters tho |

Worth bearing in mind that they don't always announce huge stuff at Comic Con. Bear in mind two years ago they put out The Thing, Carrie, Child's Play and Exorcist III in Sep/Oct, when all 4 obviously would have been enormous Comic Con announcements. Scream tend to prioritize that peak period over SDCC impact. But given the Warner and Sony deals I'm certainly still expecting some big announcements this year.
