I am sticking with it being either Urban Legend CE or Valentine CE.

Really hope it's not The Blob or Fright Night. The existing Blu's for those are already perfect (especially Eureka's FN)...

I guess The Blob would be cool for people who missed out on the TT release.

People are already complaining about double dips and I sort of agree except in cases where a technical improvement can be made. NOTLD '90, for instance, was botched by a horrible blue tint so if Shout has indeed acquired this the hope is they'll re-do the scan or at least get rid of the blue tint. MY hope is they reissue it without the tint AND get Savini to do a Director's Cut that restores the bits of cut gore. The trick with double dips is make it truly definitive so we don't have to keep buying it over and over.

Scream is so hit and miss with transfers though, it's always a gamble.

An IFC title announced today, probably the last day for October announcements, would pretty much go over like a fart in church.

Pretty sure that lasted a week or so because they upped it to 5,000. I think it was the first Fright Night release that sold out within a few hours.

The Umbrella Blu got rid of the tint, but there's still room for improvement PQ wise.

Sony does their own transfers. A Sony 4K scan with the correct color will look great.

The Umbrella had more accurate colors, but used an older, rougher transfer.

I sold my NOTLD90 Blu and bought the Umbrella instead. It's not perfect but it's way better than the atrocious blue tint.

It certainly would friend but I have seen alot of decisions made in this game that do not make sense

More than happy to wait for Valentine but I do hope it gets a decent release.

I remember seeing a comment from someone at SF and they said that they had a killer line up all the way through to February.... Read into that what you will

So they did the messed up first one? Doesn't exactly raise my expectations.

Someone was asleep at the wheel during that time at Sony. John Carpenter’s Vampires had inaccurate colors as well, resulting in Twilight Time having them correct it before releasing it.

Sony botched the color correction. The raw scan, itself, was probably excellent.

If Scream Factory were to release it, the workflow would probably be similar to the arrangement they have with Warner Brothers.
