I think April Fool's Day is underrated and has a nice surprise ending! better than the shit remake.

I personally loved it and it starred one of my favorite Final Girls Amy Steel who should have done more Horror Films!!!

yeah, I remember it being terrible.

April Fool's Day is a fun little flick. I can see why the ending would upset some people and to be honest even I kind of go back and forth on it. But the rest of the movie is a lot of fun, the characters are some of my favorites from the '80s slasher era, it's got a great score, Deborah Foreman is a delight and, like you said, Amy Steel. I would definitely be down for a Blu-ray.

I know a lot of people don't like the movie but id love a CE BD of An American Werewolf in Paris. Or even a non CE from SF would be fine by me.

Feel the same way about the remake but for some reason some people want it in the set too.

I'd be content with just that episode. I've always wondered why it wasn't one of the two included in Warner/New Line's set.

I really like ending of the April Fool's Day remake. It's dark and twisted, really takes things is a much more f*cked up direction, IMO.

I really hope Mill Creek releases it from their Sony deal. I would easily pick it up for $6 on Amazon, even if it's far from my favorite slasher remake.

To each his own but the original is far better and i think the remake is a piece of shit that i hated so much! i would use a used DVD as a coaster.

If anyone wants to commit suicide, Gilbert Gottfried, Bobcat Goldthwait and Chris Tucker (in his Fifth Element voice) should record a commentary together someday. Bill Olsen should moderate it.

Back on topic, So we've got 10 days of speculation and anticipation for the SDCC announcements. Highlights:

Everybody wants another Friday the 13th set but some people think an Elm Street box would be a waste of time. How does this make sense? The F13 trims and deleted footage are gone - people need to get over it.

Everybody wants a Critters Collection but someone here claims they were told only the first two are being released. Does another studio own the rest?

Everybody wants Poltergeist but Hooper is dead and Spielberg has probably already said everything he's willing to say about the production. Warner blew this one off for a reason.

Lots of people are asking for action movies like Demolition Man, Cobra and Steven Seagal movies but I don't see Shout picking any of these up - at least not within the first year of the deal. The first year will be all tentpoles. Maybe for Father's Day 2019.

Some people are wondering whether Warner Archive titles are fair game - I don't think they are. Maybe once the big guns are exhausted?

Wow, I have been asleep at the wheel, as I didn't even know there WAS a remake. Holy cats! April Fools Day (original) is a personal favorite and I love Amy Steel. Would be an easy day one pre-order for me!
