Okay, for what it's worth, here's what I'm predicting for the big reveals. I'm calling the Critters Box Set (1-4), Sorority House Massacre II/Hard to Die (technically already announced from Wynorski), Valentine, and either Alone in the Dark or Deadly Friend as the retro titles; probably a few more "wow" titles mixed in with Shout Select, too; I'll call out Surviving the Game, and maybe Single White Female and/or Year of the Dragon. Would not be surprised to see Beetlejuice or Gremlins as double-dips, unless it turns out these are too high profile (I'm guessing that they are), in which case the double dips will be NotLD90, Fright Night, and the Blob.

I'm going to say Candyman and Elm Street are NOT getting Scream Factory announcements this year, and maybe ever. Probably anything Friday the 13th is off limits, as well. As much as I'd like Jason Goes to Hell in an unrated edition, I'm going to guess that it's an off-limits franchise.

Anyone else want to give their educated guesses?
But there some BDs that are bareboned just begging to have extras even new transfers.

Critters Box Set (I'll count this as one title)
Lost Boys (CE)
Gremlins (CE)
The Blob (CE)
Night of the Living Dead '90 (CE)
Alone in the Dark (CE)
Valentine (CE)
He Knows You're Alone
The Swarm
Killer Party
House IV
Screamers
Those would be nice and i hope Valentine has the director's cut.

Email Synapse. The first Prom Night didn't sell well for them, so they are cautious about releasing the sequel. But they are the ones with access to it through the same rightsholder as the first one. In fact, they could release 2-4 if they thought there was enough demand.

Are we sure they still have them? Echo Bridge released this within the last few months...

I'm always surprised and disappointed about that. I remember there seemed to be a huge demand for a good quality "Prom Night" release and a release of "Curtains" over the years. Then, when Synapse finally announced that they were doing them, there seemed to be genuine excitement. Synapse took their time, and gave both of those films basically Criterion-level releases. Then, when they finally came out, it seems neither sold very well at all.

I couldn't wait for them, and bought them both immediately.

Yet people keep buying the same titles over and over. And we wonder why Warner and Shout and others just keep the double dips coming all the time, and won't bother with most older deep catalog titles anymore.

I believe Synapse licensed PROM NIGHT from Echo Bridge. So if they wanted to, they should be able to go back and get the rest.

Sucks that Prom Night didn't do that well. I didn't care for it much when I saw it for the first time several years ago. But I bought the Synapse Blu-ray for my Jamie Lee Curtis horror collection and they did such a great job it actually gave me have a new appreciation for it, and now I love it. I think it actually has Jamie Lee's best performance from her Scream Queen era. It's a great release that deserved to be a big seller.

[Show spoiler]
Synapse definitely still has access to the rest of the sequels. Echo Bridge had at least the first two (and Curtains) out on DVD in various forms prior to Synapse's deal with the rightsholder (SimCom, though I think they were sold to another company recently, maybe Alliance or eOne).

Plus Don said they'd release them years ago, as long as there was interest. The first one sold poorly (though Curtains did pretty well) and I guess that signaled to them that there was no interest in seeing the rest on blu-ray.

So, please, anyone who wants Prom Night 2-4 on blu, please shoot Synapse a message at the link I provided a few posts back.

My ComicCon guesses:

1) I can't even begin to venture any type of guess. Jesus, that would be like finding a needle in a haystack
2) Critters

I wish we would get a U.S. release of Mother of Tears (2007) on Blu-ray. Especially since the new Suspiria (2018) is coming in November.

As far as I'm aware, there's no objective evidence that Prom Night II would/could outsell the original Prom Night. If anyone has any, though, feel free to pass that along to Synapse.

If you haven't done so already, you need to buy the Prom Night release if you really want Synapse to go out on a limb for Prom Night sequels. That's been Synapse's "line in the sand" from day one and it's a great release.

My guesses:

- Critters boxset
- Night of the Living Dead '90
- Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
- Fright Night
- The Blob
- Valentine
- Eyes of a Stranger
- The Hand
- Deadly Friend
- He Knows You're Alone
- John Carpenter's Vampires
- Urban Legend

As for Beetlejuice, Gremlins, Poltergeist and the Mad Max sequels, I think Warner might be saving those titles for UHD releases.

Isn't this one Lionsgate? I have a nice German mediabook Blu-ray (region B locked) of Mother of Tears. Doesn't seem like a Scream Factory title and will probably never happen, but I'd buy it if it did. I could see Scorpion releasing it if they could secure the rights.

I don't think Warner gives a crap about the Mad Max films even though Fury Road won a bunch of Oscars. If they cared we would've seen a sequel to Fury Road by now. I remember back before BD hit the market, Warner was supposed to release a Two-Disc Special Edition DVD (remember those?) of The Road Warrior. Such a seminal cult classic and all we got was a standard release with minimal extras. I welcome fully loaded CE's of both Road Warrior and Thunderdome.
