Hmm, on one hand I've already double-dipped on Mad Max, and Beyond Thunderdome is completely intolerable.

On the other hand, The Road Warrior is The Road Warrior.

I'd be surprised to see a box set. If/when Scream Factory releases The Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome I would expect collectors editions again.

If so, that could lead to a bit of a problem as it relates to the inclusion of FvJ in any future Nightmare set, and/or could also prevent the release of an unrated cut of Jason goes to Hell and Jason X.
Victor Miller's copyright claim only extends to his screenplay and the characters and story elements contained within. Basically a victory for him would block people from creating new material without his approval, but it shouldn't impact existing material.

The lawsuit is currently blocking the developers of the game from releasing any of their own new content however which makes me think that special features or artwork could be impacted as well. Existing special features and theatrical artwork that are ported over would be fine since it's already created... but anything new beyond a new scan of the elements may be on hold.

I want to say that special features would probably fall under "fair use," but I'm really not sure. A lot of it would depend on the nature of the material in question.

That's awesome. The mediabook you have.
Yea I just wish anyone would license the rights to give it a proper Blu-ray release here on in the U.S.

What about the sequel?

Now that be swell.

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer
Urban Legend
Krampus (to match Trick 'R Treat)
Lionsgate owns Scream 1 to 3, so Vestron would most likely do it.

The standalone editions for Seven and The Devil's Advocate appear to be OOP as standalones, though they are still available as part of a 3-pack.
House of Wax 1953 would be swell for any BD collection even Vincent Price fans.

Question Let's See If It Gets A Response This Time.....

Am I the only one who thinks this is a good idea?!!?

Okay you guys, I've been reading & reading about almost every OOP horror movie under the sun desired from you guys, but all I want from Scream Factory is:

Unrated, rated, whatever....this movie deserves a proper re-release, especially since this was the film Peter Jackson made before he got big. Call it Braindead, Dead Alive, I don't care, gimme a new master & disc of this one!

They have to do a deal with Peter Jackson himself to get this, Bad Taste, and Meet The Feebles. He has the rights.

Hmm, well it might be easier to get the rights from a "man", especially the one that made it, than a multi-national corporation.

Seems like a possibility.

Yes they need to talk to PJ and maybe have Criterion do Feebles.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Criterion tried to grab Se7en, since they’ve been on a tangent of upgrading their Laserdisc catalog.

It’s possible, but he’s a busy guy, and he seems like the type that would want to supervise transfers, participate in extras, approve art/packaging, etc. It would take a while.

Criterion? Okay, but lets get a realistic list:

01) Dead Alive (Braindead)
02) Bad Taste
03) Meet The Feebles

Maybe Disney can do Feebles, we see how well it worked for The Muppets.....

I'm hoping there's at least one or two Val Lewton titles announced for Friday.
