I'm not sure since I haven't seen them personally but I have heard from multiple people that there are color timing issues compared to the original intent for the film so to see Synapse correct said issue is a definitely a plus.

Ahh that's too bad. You don't happen to know if anyone is planning a release for part 3 here in North American do you? I would love to finish off the trilogy once I pick up part 2.

Awesome news! If it can't be from Scream, Synapse is the next best thing. The titles probably fit more of their style anyways. Now we just need a North American release for Suspiria!

This year is definitely going to be the death of my bank account. I already have every Scream release pre-ordered so far, and there are still plenty more to come from both Scream, Synapse, Scorpion and Code Red! Not to mention the titles Blue Underground is apparently going to announce. This is definitely a great year to be a horror fan!

If you're really impatient, the Australian Blu Ray is out in March, along with Scanners

Now I will say that Arrow may have used some DNR, but it's been a few months since I last popped them in and I don't remember anyone looking waxy or the image looking too processed.

Here is the DVD Beaver review for DEMONS and DEMONS 2. Frankly, I have to say that their set-up must be screwed up, because DEMONS does NOT look that faded on my 65" Toshiba DLP HDTV. All I know is that the blacks are fairly deep and colors are pretty vibrant.. maybe not as vibrant as the SUSPIRIA blu-ray(s), but nothing about the Arrow blus are faded or dull.
Thanks Monroville the collector in me may still purchase the steelbook, but I'd really like to wait and se now with what Synapse can do with them..reviews pending will obviously be the deciding factor here...time will tell...thanks again for your feedback...was Suspiria pretty ok transfer wise? Have been hopeful for a US release, but we'll see if that ever happens!!!

Yeah, but they are working with MGM for certain releases again, so it not completely improbable. (It's better now than during the hey day of DVD probably.)

Mgm is re-releasing "Carrie" on blu-ray next month.

And Warner has a March release date for "Westworld", so that should make an excellent double feature with "Futureworld", which is its sequel!

Maybe, but it most likely wouldn't have resulted in enough additional projected sales to justify the effort/cost. Why bother if addt'l sales are negligible?

Gotta think like a for-profit company, not a fan.

Completely off topic and wanting to share I found an IFC merchandise link on the Criterion thread with a really cool John Carpenter t-shirt w/ The Carpenters logo and a little They Live thrown in.

Enjoy: http://www.ifccenter.com/merchandise/

I have that shirt (black and gold) and actually posted about it in the They Live thread. I also have the Almodovar/Aerosmith shirt, and it is just beautiful.

Hi Cmac

I haven't really seen anyone inquire about this title, and it's one of two movies I've long been waiting for to either come out on DVD, or preferable blu-ray.

Two movies I have very fond memories of renting out at the video store when I was young. The first, The Video Dead, thankfully is coming out next month.

The other one is The Unnamable.

Does Scream Factory have any plans on releasing this title? Or does anyone even know who has the rights? I know lionsgate released the sequel awhile back on DVD - but no one has released the first one here in the states. I remember this one being a pretty fun, creepy film. It's been years since I've seen it and would love to see Scream release it on blu-ray (or I'll even take DVD) along with the sequel if possible.

Aww, well thanks for responding at least. I've been lurking around this forum thread just cause I enjoy getting updates from it, figured I would finally create a profile, mainly cause this flick has been on my mind and I wanted to ask.

I've been snagging up almost all of the Scream Factory releases since the line started (have only skipped getting The Island thus far) and I just want to say I greatly appreciate all the work that has gone into them
