My post wasn't a "wishlist," it was a guess at what will be announced. A redrunner97-curated list would be much different and longer.

I don't think it's a knock on the movie, I think people just got used to assuming FVK would be a Criterion release.

Well, in that case, yeah, I could totally see a NOTLD remake CE from them to go along with the DAWN remake and LAND releases from last year.

How’s the current Mars Attacks! Release? Any chance of a special edition?

I'd kill for a nice CE blu release of Mars Attacks! seeing as the current release is bare-bones as hell. It doesn't even have a trailer!

Obviously, I'm not saying ALL of these will be announced, but I think the announcement will be pulled from these titles.

And, yes, I'm aware of rumors that Candyman and The Hitcher might not be with Sony and Warner, respectively, anymore. But I'd love to see them be announced if they are still in play.
Jim Wynorski confirmed on Facebook last month that Sorority House Massacre 2 & Hard to Die is coming this year from Shout!

I'd be down for that. I know it's hated but I don't care. I've always dug it.

Would love to see the animated series come to Blu-ray, too, but I don't know who those rights would be with.

I think Freddy vs Jason is also pretty likely. If they have access to it, there's no way Scream would turn it down. They've signed on for lesser double dips in the past, but this one has two of the biggest killers of the slasher genre.

Would they be allowed to create and sell newly commissioned art if the F13 lawsuit is happening though?

Yes. There's no question that they would be able to do so. Extras are independent things unrelated to the movies themselves. You don't need anyone's permission to make a documentary. It's fair use.

YOU could make a documentary short about the Friday the 13th franchise right now and no one could stop you. Though it would help to get WB/Paramount to sign off on letting you use footage from the films in said hypothetical documentary. But they couldn't stop you from interviewing people about their experience on those films. They have every right to talk about the movies they were a part of, irrespective of any lawsuit.

First of all, no it's not. It's fun, pretty well made, and respects both franchises. It's far from the best of either series, but I love it.

Secondly, I have no doubt it would be a huge seller. It's Freddy AND Jason.

I also find it enjoyable and think the fight at the end was done well.
