I don't think it's a knock on the movie, I think people just got used to assuming FVK would be a Criterion release.

Obviously, I'm not saying ALL of these will be announced, but I think the announcement will be pulled from these titles.

Jim Wynorski confirmed on Facebook last month that Sorority House Massacre 2 & Hard to Die is coming this year from Shout!

I think Freddy vs Jason is also pretty likely. If they have access to it, there's no way Scream would turn it down. They've signed on for lesser double dips in the past, but this one has two of the biggest killers of the slasher genre.

Yes. There's no question that they would be able to do so. Extras are independent things unrelated to the movies themselves. You don't need anyone's permission to make a documentary. It's fair use.

YOU could make a documentary short about the Friday the 13th franchise right now and no one could stop you. Though it would help to get WB/Paramount to sign off on letting you use footage from the films in said hypothetical documentary. But they couldn't stop you from interviewing people about their experience on those films. They have every right to talk about the movies they were a part of, irrespective of any lawsuit.

FvJ was abysmal. Does anybody really want this?

First of all, no it's not. It's fun, pretty well made, and respects both franchises. It's far from the best of either series, but I love it.

Secondly, I have no doubt it would be a huge seller. It's Freddy AND Jason.

I also find it enjoyable and think the fight at the end was done well.

I know im not suppose to get my hopes up for tomorrow but screw it im super excited for new announcements! Im going to grab a few beers and some snacks and make an event out of the panel at SDCC. Im hoping there are a few titles from everyones wish lists and cant wait to see the excitement...hopefully
