I agree and that's why I mentioned that extras are not my main purchase incentive. But the disc itself PQ/AQ was more than fine, especially Urban Legend which it would be hard pressed to improve on it. Just wish there were more new to blu titles, that I know Shout has the funds to bring out of hiding. Not happy with this new business model, especially with the trend physical media is on. Would be nice to have some disc copies of the many, many films out there that could use a blu release.

I doubt Scream will get anything insighful for Sleepwalkers or Starman as it relates to extras.

2. 'The Burning' (please oh please make a Cropsey!!!)
3. 'Carrie' (original)
4. 'Day of the Dead' (more Bub figurines being produced is fine by me!)
5. 'Ghost Story' ( bring on ghost Eva!!! ...again, maybe too "obscure"...)
6. 'Ghoulies' ( I want them all haha. Play nice Charles Band and help make it happen!)
7. 'The Howling' ( Yes please!!! Those werewolf designs are the best!)
8. 'The Incredible Melting Man' (I'm not kidding. I want this!)
9. 'IT's ALIVE' (...once again a total pipe dream but I had to list it haha.)
10. 'Motel Hell' (Sure why not!)
11. 'NIGHTBREED' (Any monster from that film would make me a happy camper.)
12. 'Poltergeist 2' (a Kane figurine or any of the freaky ghost monsters would be great!)
13. 'The Return of the Living Dead' (Tarman or perhaps the two punk zombies from the poster art.)
14. 'SHOCKER' ( Yes, I want a Horace Pinker figurine packaged with knife and TV.)
15. 'The Slumber Party Massacre' (the killer (forget his name), with the drill gun.)
16. 'SQUIRM' (that poor guy with the worms protruding from his face, haha. ...again, would never happen as its too "out there".)
17. 'The Strangers' (all three killers in a boxed set, maybe?)
18. 'The THING' (Maybe a MacReady figurine packaged with any one of those thing creatures.)
19. 'TROLL' (Torok packaged with that talking mushroom creature would be suh-weet!)
20. 'Without Warning' (Yes! I want NECA to make that alien in toy form! Its the original predator alien!)

There, if I'm going to be dipping on these titles once again then throw some awesome horror figurines such as those I listed above! Oh, and since Scream Factory is adding a few B-movie classics such as 'The Wasp Woman' then I certainly wouldn't mind it if NECA were to have a hand in that as well! Need more 50's monster toys![/QUOTE}

How about Lifeforce alien vampire bat action figure, Critters action figure, Critters's Ug (rock singer) and Lee (sexy blonde playboy model) the bounty hunters action figures, the Urban Legend killer, Any Dawn of the Dead remake zombie toy, any Creepshow character figure etc.?
What about an Angela figure from Sleepaway camp with the surprise ending Would you have the balls to put that on the shelf

Both are going to be collectors editions and the director of Sleepwalkers is heavily involved so I'm sure that the extras will be great !

The existing Blu of Starman earned a 3.5 on PQ here and it is completely barebones, so there's def room for improvement. Plus it's a cult Carpenter film, it deserves the CE treatment.

I am in for Critters and Screamers.

Best news for me is the new transfer of Dracula: Prince of Darkness, though.

Even the so-called 'corrected' disc that was issued in the UK still used way too much DNR.

I am positively excited about the news about more Hammer coming in 2019! I wonder what they got their hands on.

Overall meh announcements especially when you can considered what they're working with at the moment. You have a deal with Sony and Warner, yet almost half of these are reissues.... There's just no excuse at this point unless they have bigger titles waiting to be released later on.
Besides, there's a variety of titles from both companies begging to be released on bluray.
That being said, Critters is a welcome and terrific addition and Obsession depending on how it stacks up/compares to the Arrow version which I have.

I think it's pretty solid regardless of double dips. I generally try not to double dip but I'm in for Starman and Dracula because they'll offer more than what I've got in terms of pic and extras.

Also in for Candyman. And seems like folks are excited for some of the ones I dont need, so overall I'd say Scream is doing right by their base.

Well, that's the thing we don't know what they are working with at the moment. People on the forums can say this or that all they want but only Scream and WB etc know what they will give up or not give up. Obviously with WB releasing Bad Ronald, The Swarm and Village of the Damned they still have an interest to release some titles themselves. I would also say if I'm Scream I don't want to blow my load all at once, if you release everything now what's later as a company. The only thing I will say in a negative light is the Shout line of titles seems neutered the most. I'm not really getting what path that is going.

Don't even get me started on the Shout Select line. I just find it a bit sad and disappointing that I'm more excited with what Warner Archive is releasing than Scream.

Before making this year's announcements Shout stated that they weren't able to get all the titles they wanted. If they couldn't get retro horror titles like Deadly Friend, Alone in the Dark, He Knows You're Alone and Eyes of a Stranger you can forget about the bigger titles many people here were hoping for (Poltergeist, Mad Max sequels, Beetlejuice, Gremlins and even Cruising).
Given what they were allowed to get, I'm sure they did their best.

I pre-ordered Candyman, and I'm definitely in for Dracula: Prince of Darkness, Starman and Silent Night Deadly Night Part 2. I've always gotten enjoyment out of that one.

I'm heavily considering the Critters collection and Urban Legend as well.

This is a solid slate of titles they've announced, IMO. Much more impressive than last year's.

A noteworthy bit to me that I haven't seen discussed is the fact that Dracula: Prince of Darkness is going to be a collector's edition. This will be the first 1960s title to receive the collector's edition treatment. Only eight titles from the 70s have received it.

Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
Assault on Precinct 13 (1976)
Squirm (1976)
Mad Max (1979)
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)
Carie (1976)
Rabid (1977)
Black Christmas (1974)

It makes me wonder 1) what special features they have in mind for it given its age, and 2) If this is the first of a number of Hammer films they're going to give this treatment to.

They confirmed more Hammer titles are coming.

I'd expect Frankenstein Created Woman and Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires at the very least. I'd even go so far as to say those two are almost guaranteed at this point.

Personally, I'm hoping for The Satanic Rites of Dracula at some point as well.

so what are people's thoughts about the films many of us thought would be announced... and weren't.

The Blob (1988)
Fright Night (1985)
Night Of The Living Dead (1990)
Deadly Friend
The Hand
Eyes Of A Stranger
etc etc etc

Is it possible that Scream has them but are waiting to announce them later?
Still negotiating them?
Doesn't have them at all?

With the recent info on their Warner and Columbia deal, I was sure expecting different titles last night.... and was surprised on just how many double dips there were....same with the Shout titles announced...

I don't see SF even coming close to outdoing Eureka's recent release of Fright Night. That is an incredible release.

Have they stated whether or not they’ll be doing a new scan for Starman? Also, it sounds like they’ll be doing plenty of new bonus features but even if they only ported over the existing DVD features, it would be a win.
