I hate the ratings system. Directors have had to butcher their visions just to satisfy the MPAA.

What about sleepwalkers with the director's cut included or with deleted scenes that almost got an NC-17 rating?

Most agree, it deserves the SE treatment and i welcome it.

I am positively excited about the news about more Hammer coming in 2019! I wonder what they got their hands on.
Yes Dracula prince of Darkness has issues on BD and needs it fixed and Hammer in 2019 is exciting! Critters and Screamers have been requests even by me.

I'd expect Frankenstein Created Woman and Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires at the very least. I'd even go so far as to say those two are almost guaranteed at this point.

Personally, I'm hoping for The Satanic Rites of Dracula at some point as well.
I'm sure Satanic Rites is next.

What about the sequel? i'm sure Scream will announce that sometime

Picked up Candyman & Farewell To The Flesh as well as Urban Legend & Single White Female. With the 20% it came out to $66.66 lol

Surprised so many are picking up the Critters collection, if it was just the first 2 sure, but didn't like the last 2.
Yes Valentine with DC included.

Love the first 2 Critters movies.

It looks to me that Warner are keeping there older titles for there Archive release & giving Scream there more modern titles ...

So that tip I got From Joel Robinson probably meant he was fighting other artists. I'm sure he's doing SNDN 2

...or to conform to political correctness. The Demolition Man prophecy will soon be fulfilled and we're all going to be fined for swearing in public. All those people who throw tantrums because horses fall on film or turtles are eaten should be happy.

My thoughts on the Comic Con announcements:

Overall, I felt like the majority of the titles revealed could've been announced at any random time throughout the year. They didn't have to wait until the Con to breathlessly tell the world that they acquired Single White Female.

I'll double dip on 10 to Midnight because it's a new scan. I hope they come up with better artwork than Twilight Time did. But, generally, I don't need more versions of titles that Twilight Time has already done.

Starman is probably the best announcement but a double dip will be pointless if it's the same transfer Sony used for their BD. In that case I won't need to double dip. Extras aren't my thing anymore unless it's a rare alternate cut.

Arrow stole the thunder for Candyman. Shout's extras look plentiful but Arrow's packaging can't be topped.

I'll grab the Critters set at some point but I'm not particularly fond of movies about killer mini monsters. The only killer gremlin movie I need in my collection is the original Gremlins.

Generally I'm a bit underwhelmed but I know Shout has a lot more on their schedule in the coming months.

I'm sure Starman will have a new restoration and some extras abound since the previous BD has zero extras. Not into killer monsters? Critters 1 and 2 and Gremlins 1 and 2 are equal films.

Speaking of Demolition Man, can you imagine if Scream announced a CE of the movie next month or the following months?

I don't know anything about a DC... Does this cut include nude scenes of Mädchen Amick?

Honestly I thought shout killed it with these announcements! I expected Candyman and Critters, but Silent Night Deadly Night Part 2 and Starman! Sweet! I’ve been holding off on Starman particularly for Indicator/Powerhouse but this is most welcome. And Dracula Prince is Darkness is a big get. Was I sad NOES wasn’t in there? Not really. If they do I’ll most likely upgrade. The WB set only cost me $20 and it’s really not anything special. But we’ll see. I am anticipating sometime down the road Child’s Play 2&3 and maybe Bride of Chucky. Probably they’ll do Freddy vs Jason and interview Ronny Yu once for both haha! Anyways I saw some great titles that I’ll get.

Never heard Sleepwalkers had an alternate cut either.

For nude scenes of Madchen check 1994's Dream Lover.

Another creepy film I'd like to see get a Blu-ray release is The Mothman Prophecies (2002).

I predicted they would get Candyman, Critters, Starman etc. but didn't expect Dracula Prince of Darkness.

Maybe next month they will surprise us with even more november titles then next month more december surprises.

More gory, but not an R rated version. I’d argue that the first Gremlins is darker than any Critters.

Agreed, that's how I'd describe it. I have a ton of nostalgia for the first 2

I agree. I think it's a HUGE announcement that SF is going to be putting out more Hammer titles. That's a big deal.
