I have yet to watch the universal one. I had just bought it also & then I found out about the Scream version but the price was too high at the time. I might just pick up the steel book instead once released.

Those interviews should be nice even Biehn.

Weird that they didn't add the theatrical trailer for Seventh Sign.
Peter Friedman is also in Single White Female so we can expect a new interview with him there too.

Had they used Shipper's art on the steelbook I would have triple dipped, but the new art they are using for all these steelbooks is bad, not Milliner bad, but still bad.
I shouldve clairfied artwork as far as steelbooks go, but yes I agree the original is the best.

November is pretty full already so I can't see that happening, most likely it will be the extras reveal for Exorcist 2.

Philippe Mora posted on Facebook that HOWLING III is coming out soon via Scream Factory in a "beautiful restored master."

Beyond excited.

Whoa. Maybe they'll do the rest of the sequels as well. Don't they have the rights?

OMG.

Hopefully, it's a solo release. I've never really been interested in any of The Howling sequels past The Marsupials.

The Howling III is terribly underrated. Glad it's getting some love!

They should still have the rights to III, V, and VI. IV was not part of the Timeless release, so they may not have the rights to that one.

Fantastic news if it turns out to be true! The Howling III is one of those movies that has never really looked good at all, so a newly restored version should be revolutionary.

Hopefully The Howling 5 / 6 get the restored 'double feature' treatment as well since Shout! Factory already owns those too.

New Nightmare would be great if they can get it in Widescreen and a new transfer, the opening intro is highly underrated

You mean Original Nightmare? Because that's the 4th one and Shout Factory doesn't currently have the rights to it, unfortunately.

Makes me wonder if a box set is in the works. Shout already has 1-3 + 5 & 6. And 7 is with Warner Bros.
All they'd need is 4 and 8... just something to think about.

There was an 8th one called Howling: Reborn in 2010. Never watched though. I don't think 7 has a DVD release in the US but I've heard it's awful.

I'd probably buy a Howling box set though for completionist sake. The first 3 are all entertaining. haven't watched any beyond that.

The fifth and sixth installments are pretty fun, with part 5 being an attempt at a gothic-like Ten Little Indians. It takes place in a castle, and slightly apes the plot of The Beast Must Die, albeit not as charming. The sixth is similar to the old Fox series Werewolf, with a travelling wanderer ending up in a town full of carnival freaks. Again, it pales in comparison to what I compared it with, but it's a good time and worth a watch. I cant speak for seven, and the less said about 4, the better.
