I liked it mostly because of Terri Treas. Wish they would make more House movies.

Is that why Mel Gibson was Mad Max in FURY ROAD?

With the Arrow releases being region A compatible (despite being UK exclusives) and relatively cheap to import, I just don't see there being much of a benefit to Shout! to proceed with another domestic release of The Horror Show or a domestic release for House IV, just for the sake of a domestic release.

I love The Burning, and I knew I had to get it after seeing it on El Rey a few years ago. It's a lot like the first few Friday the 13ths, but even creepier IMO. I think it takes the campfire traits of F13, and does more with them. It's very well shot, and has great makeup effects. I know Jeff Nelson has said that it was a big seller for Scream Factory, so maybe it's not going out-of-print. The transfer looks fine, but I guess it's possible they're doing a new steelbook with a new 4K scan (albeit probably an interpositive source).

I think he’s referring to Jeffrey Jones’ role in the film. I’d rather not explain what he did a few years ago, but it was pretty scummy.

Google Jeffrey Jones’ recent history.

I’m fairly certain that while a scumbag, Gibson was left out due to age.

Didn't stop a decade+ older Harrison Ford from playing Han Solo one last time.

Yes. There was a massive Shout/Scream sale last year that darn near wiped out my bank account that month. Shout Factory's “sales” sometimes merely amount to what someone might spend on Amazon after price drops, but the one last year was exceptional.

They also had the Back to School sale last month, and I placed a couple of decent pre-orders.

There will be a sale in October, but history says it will disappoint.

Watched Scream for Help the other night. What a trash-treasure that film is. But great. Nice to finally have it on Blu-ray. The Evil, on the other hand, didn't hold up well for me.

I thought The Evil held up pretty well for me. The film has a pretty good spooky atmosphere. The effects are dated but i still found them creepy particularly the ghosts.

It felt very tired to me. I can see why others will enjoy it, but it's very, very mediocre. It held more appeal when I watched it on VHS, but didn't everything?

I love supernatural-themed horror flicks and The Evil is one of my favorites. Right up there with Superstition.

I ordered direct from Shout and they shipped without sending me an email. Should get it by Friday.
