Not impossible, but by all accounts the rights holder wants an insane amount of money.

It's no more far fetched than what Sony did with the game "Shenmue III". Or what Hasbro recently did with the Jabba Sail Barge toy.

It's not like it would be "Give us money to buy the rights, and THEN buy the blu-ray afterward". It could potentially be a great way to secure the funds from the fans who actually want/would buy the release and make sure that those fans get it....if it doesn't meet the funding needed, then it doesn't go through, and those backers get their money returned.

While DAWN OF THE DEAD may not be the most niche movie ever, it's still not something guaranteed to make back the money the rights holder is asking. Whether it's Scream, or Arrow, or whoever, I would happily "back" a properly done DOTD collectors set ahead of time, if it actually meant we'd be getting it.

Are people really that hard up for attention? "I contributed to Kylie's billion dollar quest. Please like me" . Those idiots were probably all their wealthy friends and neighbors. The world needs more billionaires lol

There was a rumor that Well Go USA had acquired the rights to DOTD somehow. Maybe it was from income from all those Phantasm box sets.

People should really just leave it to the rightsholder(s) and the label(s) to hash the licensing details out. If one of the labels decides to launch a crowdfunding campaign to get this done, so be it, but let them do it. Don't start this, independently.

Analogy: If you're haggling with a car salesman to get the best possible price on a new car, you don't want your spouse taking every opportunity to tell said salesman how much they want the car and that they will do almost anything to ensure that they buy the car. It's counterproductive.

Didn't someone post a link to a site that tells you who owns what movie?

I want to see who has the original Outpost. The sequels are on blu, but not the original.

Outpost is awesome. I think it's a Sony title. Would love a Blu. The DVD looks horrible.

What are the odds that Dark Ride comes to Scream Factory? I know it's Lionsgate but they'll never bring it to their line.

Do you guys think there will be any more new titles announced for the December slate this week? The latest release date they have for December is the 18th.

Receive an exclusive, limited edition 8” tall “Ricky/Killer Santa” doll created by NECA - N.E.C.A and officially licensed! This will only be available here exclusively on our site and will not be sold elsewhere or at a later date !
They said that last time and suckered me into the deluxe package for the Part 1 figure. Then NECA sold it individually later.
