They also just addressed the delivery delays on FB. It's a disc replication issue.

No shipping for me, either. Wish I would've ordered from Amazon, now. At least I'd have it tomorrow.

I don't understand all the Facebook complaints about raised prices. I know they're more expensive now than they were at the labels' launch in 2012, but I don't recall any 'recent' price increases. Other retailers are now offering smaller discounts than they used to, and so are asking for more money, but that's on them, not Scream / Shout! Factory.

Perhaps but they could have avoided a lot of upset customers by saying that a long time ago !!!

yes they are sold out, only hope of buying is ebay or amazon, ebay is more likely because the sellers ordered them as soon as they were available

They are preventing a lot of retailers from selling either online or in store which in turn keeps prices as there is little competition and therefore no need for them to lower the price as it's either them or nothing as they have just proved by saying that the Halloween steelbooks will be an FYE exclusive..m

And these prices are only going to continue going up as most will not buy physical media any longer (for shame!). Blu-ray and steelbooks are going to be stamped at much lower numbers and that's going to cause prices to skyrocket for those who remain committed to buying hard copies. The writing's on the wall at Best Buy and Target; these stores going from respectable media sections of their stores to one row in some cases is just ridiculous.

I just hope there's enough of us to warrant these distributors and manufacturers and studios to put these films out on discs for years to come!

Glad I pre-ordered H2 and H3 back in August. Hopefully they will arrive on or before the 16th!

geez... that's a first. I'm wondering if this is the beginning of a new age for physical media collectors. This morning I also read that Kino's The Night Stalker is sold out as well and not available until after October is many cases...

The days of people waiting around forever for bargains may be ending...at least in certain cases.

Steelbooks that are sold out almost immediately.

New releases that are backordered for weeks...

What are you confused about?

Critters 1 & 2 are fantastic PG movie horror films well worth watching/owning that horror fans of all ages can appreciate. Parts 3 & 4 are quite bad however so picking up the box set at current prices is a bit of gamble if you've never seen any of the films. Ghoulies is a bit slow as another user mentioned, but Ghoulies 2 should be required viewing for any/all younger horror fans. If you like rubber monster creature features or the early Full Moon works then you'll love Ghoulies II as Charles Band worked on the series. I couldn't pre-order the Ghoulies double feature fast enough when Shout Factory released it a few years back. Ghoulies III is also one of my top wants from the Vestron line as it retains much of the action of part II while adding in a heaping portion of goofball 80's comedy. The third film isn't anywhere near as high quality as the second, but it's a blast to watch.

There is also for the first time since VHS a truly uncut version of Ghoulies II available from Germany that's worth considering if you can find it for a good price. It adds in just a few seconds of special effect work making the film a tag more violent but for a film that otherwise lacks a significant amount of horror it's a welcome addition.

I could be wrong but I believe Shout was only selling the 1,000 copies of each with the lithograph. That means there are 9,000 copies of each title available through Amazon, FYE, etc.

Does anyone have After Midnight, From A Whisper to a Scream, or Deadtime Stories? I'm tempted to get these but wanna make sure it's worth it? Are they good, fun?

I'm a big horror fan and I must say that none of those are good blind buys. I don't own any of them (and I buy a ton of horror titles)... None of them are terrible, but I have complete indifference for them...
