I know this is a stretch, but I think it would be cool to see Scream Factory release "Dolly Dearest" and "Pinocchio's Revenge"! Maybe as a double feature? Haha!

My (near) weekly Shout! fix will have to just be happy with the other titles coming soon -- can't wait for The Hardy Boys Season 3 DVD to arrive next week and Terrorvision the week after

I hope this doesn't come off as abrasive, but for those of you who are just posting long lists of title requests, you do realize it's pretty easy to find out who owns a lot of these titles?

Just go to a site like DVDEmpire, search the film, and if there's a DVD in print it will say who distributed it. If there's not a DVD or it's out of print, go to IMDB, search the film, and click on "Company Credits". That'll usually steer you in the right direction.

This doesn't always work (for instance, no one seems to know who owns Fright Night Part 2), but for 90% of the titles being thrown around, it does. Best of all, it only takes about 2 seconds to do. If you can't be bothered, then why should Cliff and co?

Based on the comments so far, it seems like Warner, LionsGate, and Echo Bridge are unwilling to license out titles. So if it's any of those, it's unlikely. Based on Scream's output so far, Universal and MGM are your best bets.

This thread has gotten better than it used to be, but it seems like there are more people badgering for other titles than there are embracing the ones that Scream Factory is actually releasing.

filmaf.com is also a good place to search for rights owners. Just filter for US only and viola! - there they are.

How can you tell if the distributor listed for the DVD still owns the rights if the DVD is out of print, though? It doesn't look like there's anything in the "company credits" section of imdb that would tell you (I looked up company credits for Evilspeak, for example)

Again, I don't see how this gives you any info on whether the company that made an out-of-print DVD still owns the rights, which is the key question for people wondering about the possibility for a Scream Factory release.

So you're basically saying that people should just check if there's an in-print DVD, right? The only question is whether there's any sure way to tell whether a DVD with a release date of a few years ago is still in print or not (amazon could still be selling leftover stock, for example)...filmaf.com does label DVDs as in-print or OOP but I think this data is user-entered so I don't know if it's totally reliable.

Watched Death Valley last night, it looked great in HD and I really enjoyed the film, it had great heart which a lot of slasher flicks lack, so made it all the more watchable and tense.

Waiting on all the other Scream! releases to arrive now, except for Funhouse as I have the Arrow release.

My copy of Terrorvision/The Video Dead came in the post this morning.they've been on amazon here in the uk for a few weeks, was worried they might be screener copies with holes in the barcodes but mine does'nt have any.
Think its awesome how even if scream/shout put out double features they still don't skimp on the extras. you Cliff.

Cliff, have you guys looked into doing a Child's Play box set? With MGM and Universal licensing to you, it'd be nice to (at the very least) see the sequels get some bonus features. And with the new Chucky film coming out this fall, it'd be a nice way to get some sales.

Michael's Movie Mayhem lists whether a specific UPC is discontinued or not; there could still be another release which is out under a different UPC though.

Fright Night Part 2 I think maybe with Paramount. I'm just saying this because I saw an HD viewing on Cinemax and at the end of the credits roll it had the Paramount logo.

I did and it won't happen. Universal has plans for Chucky.

Child's Play is out on blu-ray. Child's Play 2 and 3 is coming soon from Universal in Germany(March). A release date in the US will probably come soon.

Would Shout consider including trailers for upcoming releases on every title that comes out? Nothing sells a movie better than a trailer - I should know because I have purchased many DVDs and Blu-rays after having seen the trailer. Trailers are always fun
