Scream really has screwed their prices. I thought their stuff was a little higher than it should be as late. I might have to put some cancellations in as well. Screw em.

Edit; Ha, they put a cancel tab function right on the order page. Much more convenient.

Yes, a special edition for a classic title in beautiful packaging is worth $30. There's a lot of truth there, and I don't mind paying for something like that. But I had Single White Female preordered, and come release day it's still sitting at $30, which is just too much.

I haven’t seen anyone else comment but I received a shipping notification for Candyman. Hopefully it’s not on preshipment for a week but eh. So in case anyone was wondering where the orders currently stand, seems to be slightly better off than Creepshow was.

If it actually does ship out and it’s not just a “label created” situation, they should be arriving by the street date at least.

It's pretty sad as it is that Scream is no longer honoring their early ship targets. But it's even more annoying that Scream offers no estimated ship date for Candyman deluxe edition and Urban Legend. Their only hint in the email was that usually they ship out in time for street date but I'm not really confident that's going to happen now that I'm reading everyone else's posts.

I have some more current Scream releases I'd like to pick up (House on Haunted Hill, Creepshow, Trick 'r Treat, and Urban Legends: Final Cut) and admittedly a few upcoming ones I don't even own on DVD and/or blu-ray yet (such as Valentine, Willard, The Craft, and Legally Blonde from Shout). But I plan to restrict my buying if not quit buying Scream/Shout all together once I get these. The only exception being Shout/Scream releasing something I love on blu for the first time (like Valentine) and exclusively in the US as I don't have a region free player yet.

I think Valentine and Legally Blonde will be my last Shout/Scream items ordered direct from their site, and I'm really only doing it because I reaaaally want that Valentine poster. The other ones I haven't picked up I'll just wait for price drops on Amazon or try eBay or Diabolik. Really sucks that we can't get the awesome deals we used to get at Best Buy. Remember the days of $14.99 sales? Or even the times I've seen Misery from Scream at Walmart brand new with slip for only $12.99. Those really were the days.

Maybe this will either wake Shout up or it'll be the end of their company considering the amount of excess stock that'll probably be available. God knows how long Misery has stuck around even at a $12.99 price point, let alone at a $30+ price point.

I've been wondering if they used the plant closing as a stealth excuse to stop their "shipping pre-orders two weeks early" policy.

And before someone else says "but Arrow and other companies are having issues too", Arrow and "release date delay" is sometimes a given and the other companies aren't having that big of delays anyway.

My Candyman Deluxe was marked as shipped as well. I for one, am extremely excited about this release and the Critters box set.

I think Scream will go back to their 2 weeks early incentive once the pressing plant issues have gone away. When Technicolor bought the pressing plant they were obviously not prepared for the amount of work needed to complete companies jobs. They will figure it out soon and everyone, including Shout's titles will be arriving consistently as they did before this mess. Hopefully Shout will offer discounts in the future on their products, as they had previously. If not, they will definitely take a big hit on titles they pressed too many and be forced to discount. It's simple supply and demand, they will figure it out. What sucks is that they have such a nice slate coming in the next few months and it's gonna cost if you want these titles. Either wait it out, or get the titles you want and pay the premium. Either way, as a consumer, they have us by the balls if you want something they have. It will be interesting to say the least...

Batman the Animated Series was delayed 2 weeks (same as the Shout discs) a bunch of mill creek releases were delayed a couple weeks, The Shield Boxed set pushed back a full month. Umm yeah

I wouldn't be surprised that is code for having Cinedigm force Alliance to cut off his access to SF titles.

Gone for 2 weeks & people on here still crying on here, what a shock SMH. I received about 5 orders in that same timespan, Single White Female, Sleepwalkers & my order from Shocktober. No damaged product or posters or lithographs. To me as long as the titles meet the street date then that’s all that matters. Yes I’ve gotten the notices also about Candyman & Urban Legend as well. The street dates for those are a week away & again I’m ok with that. The Critters collection is currently processing. So again no damaged products or posters & idk some people just like to complain I guess.

Cry me a river. This is the exact attitude that has lead us to where we are today... to many people blindly looking the other way due to blind loyalty. Too many make excuses for poor performance or issues with releases which only encourages SF to not correct the errors of their ways. Well, we're now seeing the results of that behavior. This was foreseen years ago.

Scream Factory rant starts at 17:19
Scream Factory is confirmed to still be strong arming small shops and price fixing.

He has to mark up all the Scream titles on his website. He says his in-store (Tampa, FL) prices can still be his normal pricing.

Get the pitchforks ready.
There is a reason folks are riled up again as we finally have some definitive evidence as to what we all had suspected. These kind of tactics should over rule any sort of brand loyalty folks have left. If you haven't already, watch the video.

TXMoviebuff77 needs to go back a few pages (well...look up at TripleHBK's repost of it to make things easier) and watch the Grindhouse Video stream for context.

Anyhow, did I mention anyone the horrors of me trying to get the replacement disc for Child's Play? Took me an entire month of emails to make Shout! Factory budge to actually send it out to me.

you defend SF like you have stock in the company or something. Look, I like SF and their releases as much as anyone on this site, I own more of their titles then you do & I own more from them then I do any other label. But what they've been doing isn't right plain & simple & they deserve to be called out on it.

Isn't the Creepshow box supposed to look like it has a bit of wear on it? Mine has the exact same marks, like they kind of wanted to make it look old and a bit beat up, but they didn't fully commit to it.
