Here are two VERY RARE movies that Scream Factory should release on Blu-Ray

GREAT WHITE
Banned from the U.S. in 1981

MONSTER DOG
Starring the Legendary ALICE COOPER
Tragically Alice Cooper's voice was dubbed in the US Video release but Scream Factory could probably find and use the original soundtrack with the actual voice of Alice Cooper.

Never heard of it either, but I would buy for that cover alone! Great artwork!

Edit: Also known as The Last Shark.

Monster Dog is almost impossible to sit through - a boring, bewildering inept import that is as bad as anything I've seen outside of the worst MST3k selections. For Cooper completists only, and he's dubbed to boot! Watch this average video of a below-average Cooper song and you've seen all you need to see, it's the highlight of the film:

I know in a general horror thread like this there should be some give and take of opinions regarding B-level horror flicks, but Monster Dog is, truly, a dog.

I saw the box for this at the video store all the time as a kid and wanted to see it, but for whatever reason never did. I see I probably didn't miss much.

Monster Dog has its moments but Alice is the only reason to watch it, would love to see it with Alice's real voice. Great White on the other hand is a kick ass movie, yes it's a Jaws Rip off but than again there are hundreds of Jaws Rip offs and this one is amongst the best of them.

I was just thinking that VICE SQUAD (with cult icon Wings Hauser) would be an amazing addition to the Shout/Scream Factory family. Its MGM too, right?

Do you or would you have any interest in releasing this film?

Also Universal's NIGHTHAWKS with Rutger Hauer and Paramount's MARATHON MAN with Dustin Hoffman!!
Thesea are 3 intense 70-80's psychological thrillers.

I've been waiting for a proper widescreen version of Nighthawks forever, on BLU with a good transfer would be appreciated.

Have you seen Terror in the Aisles recently? All three of those are featured prominently, despite not being horror films.

I've been lurking on this thread for a while checking the updates and finally decided to create a profile. Just wanted to say that I'm a big fan of the Shout and Scream Factory. These guys put some TLC into their releases and you don't find that much anymore. Anyway, I have been following the no list and haven't seen any of these movies listed below on it. Would any of them be a future Shout/Scream project? I apologize in advance if any have already been confirmed a yes or no. I guess this question would be directed at CMAC or anyone else that could answer.

Scream/Shout Factory
Watchers (1988)
Bad Moon (1996)
Night of the Living Dead (1990)
Children of the Night (1991)
The Midnight Hour (1985)
Gleaming the Cube (1989)
Miracle Beach (1992)
My Demon Lover (1987)
The Blob (1988)
976 Evil (1988)
Waxwork (1988)
Arena (1989)
Class of 1999 2: The Substitute (1994)
Avenging Force (1986)
Mindwarp (1992)
Sleepaway Camp (1983)

I know that the Sleepaway Camp sequels were shot down, but I don't think there was ever a confirmation on the original.

NotLD90 is a Fox title and was given a limited 3000 copies pressing at the end of last year through Twilight Time.

I'm not sure about all of the movies you listed, but these ones I do know:

Watchers and Waxwork are with Lionsgate, so they're out.

NOTLD'90, The Blob '88, and 976-EVIL are with Sony, so they're not happening (though NOTLD'90 did get that botched release from Twilight Time, as mentioned).

Bad Moon is with WB, so it's a no go.

MONSTER DOG, I seriously doubt the original Coopers voice track exist anymore, as there is a good chance this film, like alot of Italian films, were shot without sound, with the intention of dubbing the actors to whatever language.

As for GREAT WHITE, it's banned for Universal sued Film Ventures and had it withdrawn from the theaters. The Film Venture edit has not been seen since its theatrical palydate, the International cut is available in other region on DVD, but if anybody foolish enough tries to released this commerically, will see the wrath of Universal, whcih I doubt Shout Factory will want to do.,

Syfy channel releases a Jaws Rip-off every month, I am sure the Ban on "Great White" has expired and/or Universal doesn't care about it anymore. At the time of the Ban Universal was still trying to make money off the JAWS Franchise by producing sequels, well it's been 26 years since JAWS The Revenge, I think Universal has given up on Producing another JAWS sequel. Scream Factory's lawyers could easily petition the courts to release a Blu-Ray of this film if the ban has not yet expired.

...and they will want to hire lawyers and engage in a pricey litigation because...???

Don't get me wrong I'd love to see it too, but if it's not easy to release, it's not going to sell nearly enough copies to justify the legal cost.
