Agreed. This is sound advice. It's possible seeing as how it's a mainstream franchise that it may end up being carried in store the same way that It's Alive was which means the price is hear to stay, but it's also possible that once Black Friday passes the price could shoot right back up so anyone on the fence at all needs to jump on this price.

So some places besides Amazon are carrying new Shout releases prior to street date again? I thought Amazon had an exclusive window on their titles before they would start showing up at other places.

Wal-Mart and Best Buy refused to carry the titles because of the pricing policy changes. Other stores have had them up for pre-order at the same time as Amazon since late July but only at the higher price points.

Subjective? Sure, I guess. Subjective in a way that someone in this world might think diabetes is awesome. But most of us would rather not have it. I'm thrilled for the few (or less) of you that are looking forward to parts 3 and 4 on BD. It's a shame thousands will be paying extra for 2 coasters.

I've been anxiously waiting for Critters 1&2 but now that its here I'm leaning towards waiting for a cheaper import option that doesn't include the (mostly) unwanted parts 3&4.

So I just received my replacement disc for Trick r Treat and funny enough, they just shipped me a brand new movie with slipcover instead of just the disc.

The replacement has a better looking slipcover too, thanks shout!

At current Wal-Mart/Amazon pricing you're essentially paying old collectors edition prices ($22.99) for parts 1 & 2 and getting parts 3 and 4 for free. Most folks I know enjoying being able to own an entire franchise even if some of the entries are poor. I'd argue that the "few or less" not thrilled by the current price to own all 4 movies are folks like yourself that wanted individual releases. The only thing you aren't getting by picking up the set would be a slipcover or two. Just buy the set while it's priced this way and be happy to finally have the films you want.

I'm sure Scream/Shout will throw a fit when they see their product being sold early and at lower prices. The Critters box set won't be on Amazon for $43 very long I'm guessing. I went ahead and ordered it as I don't expect it will hit that low again anytime soon in the future.

I use sticky fasteners. Once I experimented with several options, I found a combination of two that work like a charm...I haven't had a framed poster fall off the wall yet.

I actually have about twenty SF posters adorning the walls of my apartment (the dual Candyman ones being my latest acquisitions). My spare room is literally ringed with posters on every wall. I'm very happy with my collection, and the main reason I still pre-order certain titles direct from Shout is to have them. I only wish the lithographs were scaled in a different dimension. I'd love to frame my Creepshow one, but it's impossible to find a properly-sized frame for a reasonable price.

I looked up "sticky fasteners" on Amazon and some interesting products popped up - most of which don't seem to be the right thing for me except the roll of coin-sized double-sided sticky dots. Eleven bucks is not bad for 1000+ pieces but are they suitable for hard plaster walls? I'll order a box and see what happens.

Since it's Black Friday does anyone think Walmart will have price drops on other new Scream Factory titles? I'm still not paying $27+ for Single White Female but I'm willing to pay $22.99.

3M strips will work. I know some people have problems with them falling but all the ones I've used so far (while following the directions) are rock solid. They come in several sizes

Didn't realize until amazon sent me the email but my Urban Legends 2 dropped to about $23 at some point, which is what I ended up getting it for. Not bad at all really. (That's amazon Canada btw).

Diabolik has a preorder for a German 4K mediabook release of Dog Soldiers. I know people buy these mostly for the packaging but if there's any inkling that the transfer is better than Shout Factory's I'll grab a copy. Otherwise, I don't see the point as that transfer looks like ass.

Unless they somehow found the negs for it, I'm guessing this is just a uprez of the Scream transfer. We will have to wait and see I guess.
