I'm going to business school and my plan after is to open a home video/music label.

How much money would I probably need as a kick-off price?

Also, cinder you're right!
It's really difficult to say since you're dealing with different studios and rights holders so every film acquisition could be a different story. It gets pretty complex as you can imagine. Best of luck to you with your future plans!

I just ordered:
They Live
The prowler
Deep red (on sale for 15$ at bestbuy)
Toolbox murders
The crazies
Dark night of the scarecrow

Bestbuy's warehouse is so close to my house, so I get my orders the week of, so they're my go2 guys.

They have a presidents day sale on until tomorrow. Its got some cheap bds of overpriced movies.

Maniac cop is 15, instead of 25
Deep Red was 15, instead of 25
Cat O' Nine tails was 15,
Zombie WAS 15!!!! Instead of 35! But it went offsale quick.
I missed They Live in november, but I finally went back and nabbed it. Now I've got em all.

You're on a roll!

Dark Night of the Scarecrow looks impressively good, you're in for a treat!

They Live... everyone must Obey and buy it The new art is pretty spectacular and makes for a great slipcover.

Is anyone else having any issues checking out at Shoutfactory.com? I have been trying to checkout all morning using Firefox and IE and it is a no go lol, never had this problem before, it must be a site issue, just curious if anyone else is facing this as well.

Thanks

Sorry if this has been asked before but is the police story transfers the same as the previous abysmal Hong Kong releases?

I love "Hurricane Streets", I wore my vhs out in the 90s!
Mean Creek is beyond sad
Johnny Suede is goofy, Brad Pitt was awesome even back then though. Haha.

I know MGM has HURRICANE STREETS, so maybe we'll se it soon from shout!

Would you be interested in putting out a Blu-Ray edition of this 90's classic??

I too wore out my fkn Hurricane Streets vhs. Its a phenomenal flick. It has been on this.tv multiple times, which is known for playing mgm catalogue titles. Johnny Suede was on this.tv also. I think its Paramount, but it could be Mgm.

I'd eat up a "Hurricane Streets" Bluray.

OK. Let me try.

The Burning will be on both the Blu-Ray and the DVD in the combo pack.

The Town That Dreaded Sundown combo pack will have the movie on both DVD and Blu-Ray. The DVD will also have The Evictors on it as well, thus being a double-feature disc.

Does that answer your question?

I apologize in advance if this has been brought up before, but is there any chance or can anyone confirm if Scream Factory may consider releasing Jaws: The Revenge on blu-ray someday along with Jaws 3-D...It would be a feeding frenzy in my opinion. Anyhow, I'd love to see a special collector's edition of Jaws 3 and 4.

I'm willing to bet that Universal is retaining the rights to the "Jaws" sequels since they belong to a much bigger and profitable entity. I'm sure we'll see them before you know it.

Atleast Scream Factory would try hard to include extras, I have a feeling Universal will give us bare bones releases as usual.

Is Giallo and Itallian horror an aquired taste, because I hated "The House by the Cemetary". I enjoyed "The Last Man on Earth" though. Those are really the only two I've seen that were so Itallian that they were dubbed.

Anyway, I ordered "Deep Red", "The Bird with the Crystal Plumage", "Cat O' Nine Tails", "Inferno", "Strip Nude for Your Killer", "City of the Living Dead", "Living Dead at Manchester Morgue", and "Torso".

I'm wondering if I will enjoy them, because I can't stand poorly dubbed trash, and sleazy cinema. I like films like "The Prowler", "Graduation Day", or "Final Exam" though.

First off....YOU CAN NOT I mean CAN NOT watch The House by the Cemetery with the English Dub, you got to watch the Italian dub....far far superior....no one can stand the boy's English dubber. The Italian dub is actually the boy's voice. To answer your question if Giallo/Italian cinema is an acquired taste, well yeah I would say so. I absolutely love almost every Italian genre film from the 60's and 70's and some dubbing's are better than others you have to remember. But if you don't like "poorly dubbed trash, and sleazy cinema" well you can send me Strip Nude for Your Killer and Torso right now

If you can't stand poorly dubbed trash and sleazy cinema, then you will likely hate the majority of those titles you ordered. Manchester Morgue is actually a very good film though, with effectively creepy atmosphere, political subtext, and, for those into that kind of thing, gruesome gore. If you don't mind nonsensical plots and bewildering dialog, Deep Red and Inferno are among Argento's best, with inventive camerawork, hypnotic scores, and wild imagery.Bird is his most straightforward film (in other words, the narrative actually makes some degree of sense), has a nice twist, and his typically memorable compositions and use of music. I found Cat to be silly and tiresome, and, like many of the more recent BU discs (including a few others on your list) the transfer is plagued by ugly scanner noise. I love Last Man on Earth (even if, like Black Sabbath, it seems to conflate zombies with vampires), and would welcome a BD. Are you listening, Cliff?

Yes, I'd say Italian horror is an aquired taste and I'm not a fan of it. I love Deep Red (its about the only giallo I like) and I didn't mind House by the Cemetery and I love Demons and Stage Fright, but they have more of an American influence.

If you don't like sleazy cinema, then I'd doubt you'd like Torso or Stripped Nude for your Killer.

You certainly took a big risk buying all those.
