I feel like the time has passed for that one to become a reality. Perhaps time will prove me wrong, but with the impending Fox/Disney merger I'd wager most all of fox's titles are no longer available to license. I'd also point out that with the current agreement/merger drawing close I wouldn't be surprised to see some of Fox's current blu rays quietly go out of print. If you know of any Fox Blu Rays you've been wanting, it's not a bad idea to pick them up while you can.

Of course none of this may transpire, but if the last decade has taught us anything, it's often better to be safe than sorry and risk missing out on a release.

A lot of theories floating around that many of the Fox titles will end up on whatever streaming service Disney is rumored to be starting. Might be a good draw to get people to sign up. Who knows though, as I said, just rumors I've seen around the boards here.

I don't imagine anything rated R will be on it. Its main draw will be family and kids. I dont think anything that doesn't fit in the Disney image will be on there. That's the reason why I dont think they ever bothered with something wicked this way comes on blu ray, it might not fit the Disney image so they never bothered. Which is a shame because I love that movie a great deal. Then again they never put the ducktales movie on blu ray. I dont understand Disney sometimes.

It doesn't matter to me though, I'll never subscribe to it. With Netflix and the dvd option, Amazon prime streaming, and my collection I have more than I can watch as it is. I won't pay for another service. I cut out cable TV to save money, not subscribe to multiple streaming services in its place and spend as much or more.

Got in Cobra yesterday and 10 to Midnight with poster came in today. Also got The Mangler and Dracula: Prince of Darkness today as money was tight with Christmas shopping last month.

Need to order 8MM and Screamers to finish up January.

I don't get this, the unrated cut of the films have been shown on cable many times in full HD. Why couldn't Scream have access to those elements?

Does Scream still send out fixed discs of Halloween 4? I ended up buying the 15 disc set; not sure if the seller has the new disc.

I believe Iger has said bluntly that Disney+ will be a PG-13 at most affair, and focused on families and blockbusters. The Fox stuff that makes sense for that (X-Men movies, etc.) will probably end up there. Everything "adult" I would expect to see on Hulu, which Disney also own most of. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept the Fox branding on that stuff too, like they did Miramax and whatnot back in the day.

The replacement program on that set was handled by Anchor Bay, which kinda, sorta doesn't exist anymore. I'd be surprised if Lionsgate were still honoring it 4.5 years later, especially now that both box sets are OOP and especially not for a second-hand purchase. If you want to give it a shot, the instructions were as follows:

Quote:
On behalf of Anchor Bay and Scream Factory, we want to thank everyone that has purchased the Halloween Complete Collection. We hope you are enjoying it and all the work that went into bringing it to you, the fans. Unfortunately there is an audio sync issue with Halloween 4 that has always existed on that film with every release. We attempted to fix one of the problems prior to this release but in doing so, it created sync issues elsewhere in the film, which has now come to light. For the past two weeks we have been working to fix the problems that have arisen and we have been able to fix the sync issues at the 46 minute mark. We will be issuing a replacement disc to anyone that has been affected.

If you were affected by a Halloween 4 sync issue and would like a replacement disc sent to you, please follow these instructions:

In order to receive a replacement with the first batch being sent, send an e-mail to ABEHalloween4@Starz.com no later than October 31, 2014 and include the following:

1) Proof of purchase (photo or scan of receipt or digital receipt from on-line retailer)
2) Your name
3) Mailing address

Your replacement disc will then be shipped to arrive no later than November 14, 2014.

Thank you again for bringing Michael home.
If they don't, the standalone release of Halloween 4 is still available and relatively cheap.

Thanks. It's Starz, so maybe they might do it?

On first glance it seems there are only "audio CD" versions of part 4 on Amazon.

If your H4 disc has flames/fire on it then it's the new disc. All Anchor Bay did was give people the disc from there single release.

Starz was bought out by Lionsgate. It's not an audio CD, it's the blu-ray. Not sure why Amazon does that for some blu-ray listings. I've bought some that said that and it wasn't a CD.

Phew, you had me sweating there for a good half an hour.

For the life of me, I could not remember anything about this replacement. But I looked through my mail archive and I could see that I had sent in for the replacement disc, back when it was first announced.

Then I remembered, I DID actually see a loose Halloween disc in a paper envelope somewhere, as I was sorting my shelves and cardboard boxes in the basement last spring, looking for stuff to sell at a local horror festival.

And here I was, suddenly convinced that I had thrown out the replacement disc ...

For years I was a writer and editorial staff member at a local film magazine, so I still have plenty of loose discs around sent to me as 'screeners' from the distributors. And I can easily see myself throwing it out in a moment's distraction. After all, why should I keep a loose Halloween 4 discs without a cover, when I have a perfectly fine box set from SF?

So, now I am in full panic, sweating and going frantically through all my discs to see if it is still around somewhere. Going through the shelves, going through the cardboard boxes, even going through the storage boxes with DVDs in envelopes.

It took my about half an hour before I finally found it between two Criterion Collection BDs, where it had fallen down.

That was enough first-world stress for me for today. I better go make some coffee now. Right after I place this replacement disc inside the box, so I do not make the same mistake again, in another five years or so.

You never happened to come across one of the original screener copies of Paranormal activity did you? The one that was sent to film festivals in 2007 with the original police ending? If so I'd love to get my hands on a copy. PM me if that's something you've seen.

What's exactly wrong? I just read there's an audio sync. Is it just for a second or so?

IIRC it becomes off sync halfway through the movie and remains so the rest of the runtime, but it's not off by a huge amount, so many didn't notice.

Just reading The Vampire Lovers from Scream is a region free release. Is there a list of other Scream/Shout films that are region AB? Thanks in advance,
