I do hope it has both endings though that you can watch. I actually prefer the theatrical ending and would want to watch the film with it through branching and not as an extra.

I also prefer the theatrical cut, and I was disappointed that the original Blu-ray didn't include a way to watch it through seamless branching. If a Scream Factory edition includes both cuts, it will be a must-buy for me.

Mildly interested in Night of the Creeps. Only because I don't have it and the Sony release has been sitting around $20 on amazon.ca. If I can get this for a few dollars more I'd be in. Can't say it's what I was hoping for in terms of an announcement though.

A rare change for me but I actually really like the new artwork on this one. I'm almost ALWAYS on the original artwork side of things.

Doesn't look like it. Standard edition MSRP is $29.99. Currently for pre-order at $23.99. This is a bit cheaper than the last few months of collectors editions. I wonder if this will be re-using the exact same Sony transfer?

I can confirm that this is a 2 disc set though. The listing allowed me to zoom on my phone and the slip does list 2 discs.

Pre-ordered, I can't resist the power of the Atkins. He and the Blake Fog figure are the only ones I couldnt resist.

They said they are going to try and have both the directors cut and theatrical cut instead of just including the other ending as an extra. Hope it works out.

I met Tom Atkins in November of 2017. He was a really nice, great guy. He took photos with people for free, which is rare at conventions anymore. He signed a mini poster of the Scream Factory Halloween III artwork which he had as an option to get signed. I'd love to get this figure and have him sign it, but I don't see him at any conventions around me, that was the first and only time since I've been going to cons, the past 9 years or so.

I have been to numerous conventions and Tom Atkins is easily the best guest I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was legitimately enthusiastic to talk to me and my friend and it seemed like he was truly appreciative of our fan boy praise and questions. The really amazing thing though was hours later when he walked by me and said, "Hey, Preston! How are you doing?" Unreal that he remembered my name and took a moment to acknowledge me even though I wasn't anywhere near his table.

Here's another quick Atkins story: I am a teacher and in my office I have a lot of movie posters and pictures hanging up, including a still from Halloween III of Tom Atkins looking at the masks in the Halloween store. One of my 9th graders stopped by to pick up some work last year and immediately noticed the picture. Without missing a beat, the student said, "Hey, that's the guy from Lethal Weapon!" Yes, folks, there IS hope for the next generation :-)

I think its super cool they are putting the original art on the wide release slipcover. That's the perfect way to do it (if only they had always done it this way)

I don't need several copies of Night of the Creeps, but I DO need several Tom Atkins action figures! NECA has been teasing big things on the 8" horror front for Toy Fair, so hopefully that means more Tom figures are coming, since they've already got the head sculpt.

Comes to 120$ Canadian with S/H. Me thinks I'll wait for the regular edition.
