I loved Tom Holland's interview where he says he basically wanted to make a pure suspense film with his script and Winner delivered something totally different; something batshit crazy in the "Death Wish 3" mold.

Two of my favorite moments: One, when the mother trips on the stairs and what looks to be a stunt guy in drag violently tumbles down the stairs. Two, our young heroine Christie Cromwell's line of, "I was just looking to lose my cherry-even to the garbageman."

Really recommended to those who love terrible, entertaining insanity.
I just watched it for the first time on Wednesday night. It felt like Sweet Valley High mixed with a suspense thriller. One of my favorite parts was the stepfather running at the motel. He looked like athletic, but he ran like someone who hadn't seen anyone run before and only read about running in a book.

The interview was glorious. He hated on Michael Winner with a passion. I like that he said that he had to direct the next movie that he wrote to make sure it didn't suck. I was like ok buddy let's see if you did a decent job. It turned out it was Fright Night. So I think he actually knew what he was talking about.

Haha yeah definitely. Then, when Christie's best friend is run over, there's just an incredible use of a dummy. Almost as good as all of the dummy action in "Death Wish 3". Also, when the doctor tells the parents of Christie's friend that she died, he says it completely casually and then turns away to have a conversation with some other people like he doesn't give a shit at all.

And also why in the hell were the stepfather and his two idiot accomplices so intent on waiting until 2 AM to kill them? They just kept saying, "We gotta wait till two." Just such a ludicrous film.

Was going to buy Valentine. Not sure I will now.

Have SF changed? Are they doing better discs to justify the price hike? They’re more expensive then known quality like Arrow, Indicator and any 4k UHD releases. Am I getting value for money or have they stayed the same mediocre hit or miss but prices raised for slipcover collectors?
Shipping prices to Canada or expensive. So I don't order from their site.

Things can be frustrating, but I personally don't think assuming that a company employee has an open door policy on their personal page to deal with concerns is a good course of action.
My point is the imply that it is his personal page and not work related, when he constantly uses his personal page to promote and talk about upcoming titles. If you don't want to be bothered, then keep things 100% separate. Rodney Eastman from ANOES3 has a page for fans and 1 for friends and family. It's not that hard to do. In the end I am not paying $89 for NOTC and a toy. So I'll just by the movie only locally. Plus it took them like 5 days to respond to me when the sites says 48 hours.

Mentioned this in the Superstition thread, but I'm impressed that these titles have a decent handful of extras, and are not jacked up in price. If a slipcover and a few more extra features mean it will cost 30% more, then I'll take more releases like this and fewer "collectors' editions". I'm very pleased by what you get for the price here, and will buy them both.

100% agree with you on this. I want more releases in this price range with the level of extras and packaging. I agree all slipcovers on a shelf look sexy, but it's just myself and my family (family doesn't care at all). Save me the money and go with this style release all day, every day.

I think the price hike is over. They either got the message or we just needed to pay for the replicator move.

Some folks are selling that Double Feature disc on Amazon (the non Deathstalker S&S films). So it was released.

Pretty Kill was a limited release (website) only and sold out pretty quick. I did manage to grab Naked Angels, though. That film has an awesome fuzz-guitar score!

Forgive me for my ignorance, but has Shout (or any label for that matter) struck a deal with Lionsgate yet?

With Rob Zombie's 3 From Hell coming soon, it made me realize that we still haven't seen the release of Zombie's making of doc for The Devil's Rejects, 30 Days in Hell on blu-ray.

It also made me realize that aside from one or two brief EPKs, we've never had proper bonus footage for House of 1000 Corpses (although the "Tiny f****d a stump" bit is a classic). While I know a making of doc would be a long shot, I'd be more than happy with a proper retrospective feature (especially since the cast of that films seems to be dropping like flies).

I know the cool thing nowadays is to hate everything and anything associated with Rob, but I believe these movies to have a strong following, and in the day and age where Scream Factory has to rely on re-releases, I think this would be a good opportunity for them.

Lionsgate doesn't license out their films. They also have their own sub label for genre titles in the Vestron line which on a basic label could be viewed as somewhat of a competitor to the Scream Factory line up, so I wouldn't expect to see any sort of deal between the two studios anytime soon.

Bummer. At least there’s an opportunity with Vestron. I don’t see why Lionsgate wouldn’t want to get double dips before 3 From Hell.

Still would’ve been cool to see a SF release tho.

Blind bought Dracula: Prince of Darkness & Plague of the Zombies. Looking forward to getting them in. I'll probably end up picking up all the Hammer stuff SF releases.

Considering the age of the, The Devil's Rejects and House of 1000 Corpses Blu rays I wouldn't be shocked to see UHD's drop alongside the home video release of 3 from Hell. Give it a year or so... they're most likely coming

Oh, I get your point. I continue to disagree with it. It also sounds like whoever the person you're referring to in this case disagrees as well, and I think it's not the job of this individual to run their page the way you think it should be run.

With that all in mind, in this case it sounds like you interacted in a way they didn't want to be interacted with, and they informed you of that. No harm, no foul. It's an accept, respect, and move on sort of thing--also not that hard to do.
