Looking forward to hear about the next lineup. Would love a Wes craven wave, deadly friend, shocker, people under the stairs, serpent and the rainbow... But my most anticipated movie to be released on blu someday has to be April Fools Day... I can hope, right?

I think people are frothing at the mouth because they don't know how awesome these Scream Factory releases are. I've already watching my copies of Halloween II and III twice, watched all of the special features, and listened to the Tommy Lee Wallace commentary. Still need to dive into the other commentaries.

Loving all the new artwork - great stuff. I'd also like to say it's a major plus that Shout is including the original artwork as well - can't stress enough how important it is to have it and I think it just adds to the overall awesomeness of the release even if some people may find it trivial. I've actually picked up stuff at Best Buy but changed my mind and put it back because of the ugly art. Granted, they were "blind buys", but, still...
I think people will become more inclined to make a blind purchase if there's really cool artwork on the cover. It tells them: "hey somebody went to the trouble of coming up with this awesome art, they must have made a real effort because it's worth it!". Last edited by Cinema84; 08-25-2012 at 11:57 PM. |

Hell, their cover art is more often than not far better than the movies could ever hope to be! |

Not horror, but if we're talking Universal, I'm secretly hoping for The Wizard and Best Little W horehouse In Texas. I believe it was mentioned that Shout got a few non-horror titles as part of the Universal deal.
I'm looking forward to finding out what titles next year has in store. |

Oh, and SEs of non-horror Universal titles would be wonderful including Matinee, Mallrats, The Return Of The Pink Panther (MGM/UA film but Universal currently owns the video rights), BASEketball, a Marty Feldman Double Feature featuring The Last Remake of Beau Geste and In God We Trust, and even more cartoon collections of Woody Woodpecker. |
