Cool. I'd rather have better/later than lesser/sooner.

Thanks for the update.

In fact, I actually felt like I was watching a filmed high-school play - each moldy joke (no matter how corny or nonsensical the quip, the character's 'friends' all chuckle weakly, like some watered-down laugh track) or robotically intoned bit of clunky exposition is delivered flatly and unconvincingly by a non-actor with little, if any, genuine interaction with the people standing stiffly around him. It was like watching a collection of dialog scenes from porno films. Sure, there are some solidly-executed bits of gore, but the other 99% is a major chore to sit through, and had me literally cringing and wincing in my seat. I mean, there's bad acting, and then there's non-acting. I'm hoping/assuming the sequel is at minimum a minor step up, to the point where I can at least feel like I'm watching an actual movie.
sounds like you hate it for the reasons i love alot of the horror films from that time.

100% agreed. I am disappointed about the delay but I know Scream will deliver on this disc.

I love plenty of 80's horror films, good and bad, and as I said I always make allowances for shortcomings in script and performance. In this particular case, however, these shortcomings were so distracting that it was impossible to suspend disbelief even to the point of accepting that I was actually watching a genuine film. As I described, it was like watching a filmed play.

lol im sure we all have seen movies that alot people seem to like and we cant understand why. i dont think you will find the sequels any better. in fact i think part 2 is slightly worse then the original (not off by that much) and the 3rd is pretty bad.

Why do people keep reffering to LIFEFORCE as a Dr. Who film?????
I've seen those weirdos that constantly post on the SF pages on FB say that a few times, as well as some casual fans...

And has anyone had trouble staying logged in on this forum as of late??

Scream Factory

Entertaining 80s cult title that's never been on DVD or Blu-ray before in the states is coming to Shout Factory this June which themes are very borderline "Scream Factory"-eqsue, meaning its not really a horror film per se but certainly as elements of one.

We'll let you decide once we announce either later this week or next. Let the guessing begin...

Gonna say Ninja III: The Domination

The inclusion of the 'in the states' qualifier makes me think it's a title that already has a UK release.

Hey, a teaser! Someone at Shout has listened and responded to the calls for more announcements. I don't feel like guessing, though - I'll just sit back and wait for official news. I'm sure whatever it is it'll be cool.

I was just making a general statement/guess. How about Dungeonmaster or Robot Holocaust as possibilities?

If it isn't that it could be Ninja III: The Domination!

If not, it might be a movie wherein a Ninja with supernatural like powers crushes golf balls.

Or it could be a movie where Lucinda Dickey climbs telephone poles.

Or it could be a movie with an incredibly hairy police man.

If it is none of those, it could be a movie where someone pours V8 all over them self.

I watched Robot Holocaust in HD "ondemand" on Fios recently. MST3K sure had to cut out some stuff lol.

I'm pretty sure Robot Holocaust would be a horrible seller on Blu-ray

For some reason, I'm thinking it might be Q: THE WINGED SERPENT. If that's been released on DVD in the states, my apologies. Would love a special edition of this one.

Q has been released by Anchor Bay and Blue Underground... BU mentioned plans for a Blu-ray of it like 2 years ago... No real update though.

Too bad Cliff shot down Without Warning, but at the same time its not exploitation-like...
I really have no idea what title this could be

I feel pretty good about my Dungeonmaster guess. It's fresh in my mind from watching Trailer War:

In the international forum, Psycho II has been announced for Germany (on May 8). Hopefully that's a good sign for a U.S. release.

Probably because Peter Firth always looks like he must have been a Doctor Who around the time no-one was watching it anymore.
