I kinda look at Scream Factory as Arrow Video for the US market, so anythign exploitation would fit for me. I wish Rolling Thunder got the Scream Collecter's Edition Treatment

We can proudly welcome "Ninja III: The Domination" to the Scream Factory:

"Based on the feedback it looks like its welcome to the Scream "family" NINJA III. Glad to see such a positive response to the film either way. Its quite the special film isn't it? "

Scream is for horror (and sci-fi/horror hybrids, like Lifeforce), Shout is for exploitation/sci-fi/drive-in titles. Rolling Thunder wouldn't be a Scream title, as there is nothing even remotely horror about it.

Hey Zbinks, you might want to change "Ninja III"'s status from TBA 2013 to June 2013, they confirmed it was coming sometime that month.

So F'N excited about Ninja III!!! If you only knew my disappointment when I imported the German release only to find it was no better than a VHS up-convert!

Can't wait to FINALLY see a proper release of this.

That list is awesome and appreciated but the "no" list is incredibly depressing to look at

Right? I'm very thankful for ScreamFactory, but looking at that "no" list... It's, like... Well, what's left to release, then? All the "big" ones that have been said no to... So sad. I'll stay optimistic, though.

**EXCLUSIVE NEW KEY ART REVEAL!!**

Artist Nathan Thomas Milliner (who designed our key art for The Burning, Halloween III and several others) wows us again with his werewolf-filled and ferocious interpretation of 1981's THE HOWLING which is coming soon to DVD & Blu-ray this Summer. We even showed this to Director Joe Dante who said "Wow! Cool! I'd go see that picture!"

More details on THE HOWLING (specific release date, etc.) will be coming soon in March. Stay tuned!
That artwork is absolutely gorgeous. I'd put it second to Lifeforce as the best Scream Factory cover art. But it's certainly enough for me to order from Shout themselves if they offer a poster along with it...

I couldn't agree more! I think it's amazing. It's my favorite artwork they've released so far

Agreed. I have and will continue to purchase all of these titles, and hopefully as shout makes more money, then they can land some of the bigger titles down the road.

Any chance Cliff could "Yes or No";

Death Warmed Up (1984)
Jack Be Nimble (1993)
The Ugly (1997)
The Ferryman (2007)
The Scarecrow (1982)

The Ugly being my favorite choice, great film. I don't know who has US Distribution rights for these films, probably no one? would be the coolest thing ever to see some New Zealand horror films on Blu-Ray

I maybe on my own here but i think its a big mistake to put Ninja 3 as a scream title.nothing against the film (the opposite infact) but scream should be for horror.Clearly the people at shout think it will sell more copies as a SF title but if they do it once then i tell ya in the next wave of releases they will be 3 or 4 similar titles and in the 3rd wave it will be any title the moneymen remotely think they can put in there. This thread is filled with posters who know their horror inside out but in the last few weeks there has been an influx of people who dont know the difference between shout or scream and if SF start going down this road then it will become indistinguisable(sp) from what shout was anyway and the moneymen will think there is less need for a seperate label and horror fans will start looking less forward to announcements.
I dont want t sound like a moaner as i have real affection for SF,i think they are the best thing to happen to horror in awhile and i would hate to see it become diluted.

Honestly, I don't agree. I mean, they let the fans decide which banner it should fall under. The fans chose Scream Factory. On top of that, I don't really think it matters if it comes from Scream or Shout--they're both the same company.

If it doesn't matter then why bother with scream at all,let everthing come out under shout factory.fair enough with your opinion its as valid as mine but if they start releasing non horror it with cheapen scream imo

I agree here. Scream was set up a horror/sci fi division within Shout.

Further underscoring its position as a leading curator and home entertainment provider of many memorable cult movie classics, Shout! Factory is proud to announce the launch of SCREAM FACTORY™, a new Blu-ray & DVD series created to focus on notable (and underrated) horror and sci-fi films from the past that have massive cult followings.

I mean good for those that wanted Ninja 3 but since it is a action movie shouldn't it be under Shout! and not Scream? I guess the whole spirit possession thing helps put it into Scream.

Like I said, does it really matter if it says Shout or Scream on the spine/back cover? Does it influence whether or not you're going to buy it? They're the same company regardless, and I'm sure they're going to keep delivering the goods.

I dont display my action films with my horror.look i know it may seem trivial to some but to me i think yes,it does matter.

I'm stoked for NINJA III! Its really an astounding film.
I'm also loving the HOWLING art too!

I think NINJA should be in Scream, only because it is borderline action/horror. Ms. 45 or Nightwing and Vice Squad have been begged for in here, and they're classic 80s action/thrillers. So why can't NINJA 3 be one????

I don't think THE DOMINATION will open the gates for, say, comedies, romance, or kiddie movies. Its on the border of Shout and Scream, and its going to get excellent treatment either way because its the same company, just one little logo on the back of the case doesn't change the fact that great people will be handling the film.

I vote "YES". Keep up the great work Cliff, and the announcements! Lol :P
