I really do hope Shout has a deal with Paramount. There are so many titles in there that need Blu-rays.

That's 3 titles for October now, and they said it would be a light month, so I'd say 1-2 more tops. I imagine they'll announce whatever's left tomorrow, they seem in a rush after today. We're still waiting on Let's Scare Jessica to Death, The Terminator and Freaked, and probably Big Trouble in Little China. Saving a few of these for SDCC sounds sensible enough, most are bound to draw a big reaction.

The Omen set and The Blob look like fantastic releases, but man oh man do I hate double dipping.

Also wonder if there will be any Shout! Select titles for October. Hopefully. Really curious what they will announce at SDCC which is only a few weeks away.

Never picked up any Omen releases, so the set will be mine when it's on an inevitable sale somewhere. They can keep the double dip Blob and frankly many upcoming double/triple dips, but.... Private School is a day one for me (Phoebe and Betsy Russell!!! You cannot go wrong). This is one of 'those' titles that needed to be filled and now that one is off the list. Not a Hammer fan, but happy for those that have been waiting, as I know Devil Rides Out is a big one. I am still skeptical on this whole Paramount deal, but maybe one day, many of people's 'lists' will get filled.....

I will absolutely be getting The Blob (the cover art is very Purple Rain). My first Scream purchase since Valentine, been quite a dry spell which I am super thankful for financially speaking.

Not sure about The Omen set eventually being on sale, only 10,000 copies will be produced.

10000 is a lot especially for series already released.

Deep Discount or Barnes and Noble will have some sort of a coupon to bring the price down to a reasonable level. Plus, Fox already has a collection out for like $15 or so. Not everyone is dying to double dip, especially at $60+. This will stick around longer than people think.

This. IIRC, those early Steelbooks such as Escape from New York are limited to 10,000 and still available.

Is there any chance that Shout! will release the original theatrical version of The Devil Rides Out instead of the one with the redone special effects?

Let's Scare Jessica to Death or Freaked might be announced Tomorrow.

I'm guessing at the SDCC i'm predicting End of Days CE (just in time for the holidays since it's a holiday horror film), Child's Play 2 and 3 CEs, Company of Wolves 35th anniversary CE, Demolition Man CE, Tales from the Darkside the movie CE, Deadly Friend CE, He Knows Your Alone and some others.

That would be sweet a 2K or 4K remastered CE of that movie with extras.

It might feature both.

I'd say 1, if any, not counting any IFC Midnite titles.

That Omen box set looks pretty awesome. I’ll get it if the price is right. Hopefully a deal with fox means we get a turistas release soon. I’m also looking at you shout select for a release of the beach!

That Omen set looks awesome. Preordered from Shout just now. Glad they got this before the Disney merger takes full effect. Now, how about Turistas?

Of course there will be exceptions, but I'm also not doing the whole "double-dipping" thing. Even those with new and improved scans don't usually look much better. I have a feeling The Blob will use the same scan.
