Ahh Revenge of the Ninja, the first ninja movie I ever saw. Seemed like that Ninja movie gave us the template for all the ninja cliches in pop culture to follow in film, video games, and comic books, even more so then Enter the Ninja.

Yep, that it was--Anyone remember Sho Kosugi cashing in on Revenge's surprise B-sleeper success and spinning off the 80's NBC series "The Master" with Lee Van Cleef? (As later immortalized as the "Master Ninja" movies on MST3K.)
In one early episode, Cleef, as a retired American ninja trained in Japan () helps out this week's girl in distress, and she says, "Y'mean, a real ninja, like in Revenge of the Ninja?"
Not so much that that line was planted as Sho Kosugi self-promotion, but more the sense of a TV network trying to cash in on The Flashiest New Trend that movies had gotten to first. And the Turtles were still in fringe comic books at the time.

The reception for "Ninja III" has been pretty tremendous so far. I'm really happy to see it making so many fans excited. I hope in the future Ciff and the gang will pursue more Cannon titles like "New Year's Evil" and "The Phantom of the Opera", I feel like both would be crowd pleaders.

I swear we both have the same taste in movies. I love these two movies so much, they were the ones I hoped cliff picked up the most, behind MOTEL HELL and PROM NIGHT 2.

Avenging Force is a very underrated Cannon title that Michael Dudikoff and Steve James filmed in between American Ninja 1 & 2. The success of the American Ninja series is the predominant reason why the movie has always been overlooked, but I would argue Avenging Force is better than both. Shout should definitely grab this if possible.

Its not a horror film though and should be a shout release.theres no reason to make it a scream title, non at all.Scream and shout will just be the same thing.this thread is even now pretty much a shout thread.

How about a nice release of Eaten Alive? That'd be sweet.

Am totally thrilled with the Ninja III announcement, that was a movie I watched so many times as a kid, my VHS rental dude actually got freaked and began to hide the tape when I visited the store . Hopefully it'll be a nice proper transfer from a film source in the full (widescreen?) aspect ratio.

"The Getaway" remake is another fun 90's action B-movie that would go perfect under the regular "Shout!" banner. Probably not anywhere close to being on Universal's release calendar. Could easily do a Alec Baldwin double or triple feature consisting of fun action B-movies from the 90's.
